Me too. People at uni seem off with me today (prolly just a Monday thing) and my PC is out of action too. I got a presentation tommorrow that only good old fashioned pen and paper can only produce. I will make the most of what very little I got.

Hello sports fans. Hope folkes week 5 ain't as bad as you fear. I'm in for a 1600-0200 shift, last for this run. 2 rest days looking after Piglet then back in again. Had another busy run. Don't know what's going on out there at the mo. Tings just kicking-off!
Mrs Shockprowl put Piglet's hair in pig-tails today for the first time. Piglet may actually be the cutest thing in the multiverse!
Had a bad dream though last night. Drempt pics of Classics Prowl had been released, and he look Crap with a capital 'C'! What a nightmere! I'm banking on this fig begin a good one! Hu, obsessed much Shockprowl?

Came into work today and was told that from next week I'd have to go back on the team that I spent much of last year getting off. I can't stand working with the b*stards that work on that team and when I finally got a transfer off it late last year I thought my problems were over. Not so because somebody is leaving off the team (fortunatly its one of the most despised workers in the entire factory) and only I can do her job. I tried to wriggle my way out of going back on the team but the gaffers had already made up their mind and nothing said made a spot of difference. Seriously thinking about looking for another job after this.

Week 5 (and the forseeable future) is pretty much fucked up already in Ralph Land. So much for 2008.

Let us know how things get on, your situation does'nt sound like a way forward at all. Do your bosses know of the problem and past problem with these people? ===KEN

Take heart, Ralph. Remember what transcending the thin veneer of sanity that shields most humans from the thunderous bear of the universe itself did for you when you last had an essay to write!

Yes they do and they couldn't care less. All of the gaffers at the factory want the job titles but not the problems that come attached to them. The countless times I've seen one gaffer pass a problem onto another gaffer who then passes it onto another one who in turn passes it onto yet another is incredible.

Well sorry for everyone whose week is going badly. Mine had all the makings of going the same way, but thankfully it didnt. Ive been ill, but had to drag myself to London on Monday for two days because I had to spend the rest of the week off because I had to go into hospital today and what a bloody waste of time that was. In Dec 2006 I had an injection in my big toe to relieve selling that had caused me problems for 10 years. I was in hospital for an hour or so. No problems, it worked for about 6 or months. Today I had the same injection except this time for reasons I cannot fathom I had to go in for a pre op assessment on Friday (taking a full day off work because hospital hull, work london) Today I had to go in at 7.30am I sat in a room till about 1pm when I as told to get in to the surgical gown. After 2pm I as taken through to surgery. Within an hour I was back in recovery after having had the exact same injection as a year ago. I eventually got home at 5pm. It seems that everyone involved except my consultant expected me to be knocked out and therefore I had been put through all the rigmarole of a full on surgery and its been a complete waste of everyone time and money as was told I had to take tomorrow off as well to get the anesthetic out off my system. Basically I've been forced to waste 2 days off my holiday for no reason and I'm fairly pissed off right now. Especially as Ive now got to take next Friday of unpaid while I get an ultrasound of my shoulder. Thankfully my week was saved yesterday. Id stayed late on Monday to try and finish some work that was meant to be completed by end of tuesday. My plan being Id come home early as I felt terrible. I did get the work done early on Tuesday but was feeling much better and just planned to take my time finishing up when Alice came in and told us we had a Harry Potter shot that they'd suddenly been told need to be done by the end o today so loads of us were shoved on to it instead of just the two who were meant to have the best part of a week doing it. So I got to work on HP even if only for 3 or 4 hours. So thats another one of those little aims in life I like to set myself achieved, though of course I'd like to more thoroughly achieve it with an new contract in march. I've now got the rest of the week of, so I shall have to find something to occupy me. I believe Liokaiser is at my local post office so that should be nice. Andy

Well I hope everyone's weeks ease up a bit. Sounds like alot of people are struggling at the mo. Channelling at full.
I've had a lovely week. Took care of Piglet last two day. Only had 2 rest days this week, but I'm coping! Got 2 days and 2 lates. Revoltech Optimus arrived, and predictably I've been hard at work fighting him and Rev Megs. Happy days!

Waldorf: They aren’t half bad. Statler: Nope, they’re ALL bad!
Statler: I wonder if there really is life on another planet. Waldorf: Why do you care? You don’t have a life on this one?
Statler: Boo! Waldorf: Boooo! S: That was the worst thing I’ve ever heard! W: It was terrible! S: Horrendous! W: Well it wasn’t that bad. S: Oh, yeah? W: Well, there were parts of it I liked! S: Well, I liked alot of it. W: Yeah, it was GOOD actually. S: It was great! W: It was wonderful! S: Yeah, bravo! W: More! S: More! W: More! S: More!
Statler: Well, that was different. Waldorf: Yep. Lousy... Both: ...but different!
Statler: The question is, what is a Mahna Mahna? Waldorf: The question is, who cares?
Waldorf: Bravo, bravo! Statler: Why are you yelling bravo? Did you like it that much? Waldorf: Nope; friend of mine, Joe Bravo, he's sitting in the front row. Bravo!
Statler: Hey, hey look! Look at the guy in the Goofy mask! ...that's not a mask. Oh; sorry lady!
Waldorf: Isn't it lovely? Statler: Yeah. Too bad they're gonna spoil it with a pig.
Waldorf: Hey, what's all the commotion about? Sweetums: Bunny ran away! Waldorf: Well, you know what that makes him... Statler & Waldorf: Smarter than us!
Statler: This is a very moving moment. Waldorf: Yeah; I wish they'd move it to Pittsburgh!
Statler: Wake up you old fool. You slept through the show. Waldorf: Who's a fool? You watched it.
S: Is your hearing aid fixed? W: No. S: Then how do you know what I'm saying? W: I don't! S: Oh.

Some good news. A counselling place has agreed to offer me some hours from mid-February. This will help get the hours in, though the maths are still against me. So hurrah. The downside is significantly increased monthly costs for supervision and travel but there's nowt I can do about that. So one area of extreme stress will hopefully be lessened while another increases. Hurglefurgle foo! Should be good experience though and I do genuinely look forward to it.
In other news, essay related stress is really, really getting to me. I apologise now if my posts become a bit frantic between now and The Day Of Destiny AKA next Wednesday.

I have returned from a fantastic trip to Amsterdam to find England damp and my desk burdened with paperwork. Groan.
Oh, Graham - I think I found that comic shop you mentioned... It's got a stained-glass Decepticon logo over the door. Very cool.

As you seem to be the sort of person who's either stressed and positive/motivated or stressed and negative/apocalyptic, Martin Expect more of these wild swings of mood between now and June. It's what happens on this type of very intense, personally involving course. We were warned it would be like this. One day I can think: " this is the best thing I've ever done, I feel more myself than I have in years", the next day it can be: " I cannot believe the amount of stress this is causing, this is the biggest mistake of my life," and both feelings are equally real at the time. It's just what happens and at the risk of sounding incredibly patronising very hard to express to those of you in the Outside World. Your inner self is explored, magnified and picked over like never before. Stuff you never expected in a million years pops up. Bits of feelings/emotions/thoughts are intensified like never before or pop up out of the blue fully formed and just knock you off kilter. This is on top of a required high attendance rate (not like when I was an undergrad when clases could be bunked off easily without missing much) where you have to fully participate (there is nowhere to hide) plus trying to secure and maintain at least 100 hours counselling practice plus very challenging and mind-melting academic work. And doing it full-time with no income. In addition to the course costing several thousand pounds to do (tis expensive to train as a therapist) along with very high ongoing costs for travel, supervision and also a residential to pay for. Stress is of course relative and we all experience it no matter what our working experience currently is. But I hope perhaps folk can understand if I get a bit wobbly from time to time. Bear with me! You'll hopefully get a rounder, more positive, more fully-functioning Ralph at the other end! -Ralph

Of course we shall stick with you Ralph. We wouldn't think of doing anything else. It is understandable that you are somewhat stressed at the moment. What you are doing is pretty intensive on many levels after all.
Glad to hear that somewhere is in a position to offer you a chance to get some hours in. That is good news.
For my part I would dearly love to ask for a "mulligan" on this week and start over with a re-dealt hand. It just seems to have become that little bit more odd, absurd and stressful as it has gone on. I think I will be glad when I get out of the office tomorrow (whenever that happens to be).
