Ah! I thought I recalled one of us being in Derby. Now what's going on with that Tesco? Half the refrigeration units are broken and they've got chilled goods wedged everywhere.

Yeah, I think the heat has just broken everything. The UK hasn't been designed to cope with any of this.

Though I might see some Siege and/or new exclusive TF's at MCM Comic-Con (a big event)...but nowt. I imagine LFCC having at the same time sucked in those kind of dealers. I also managed to lose £40 out my wallet. Most have dropped some notes when fumbling for change at lunch. So, er, expensive event despite not buying anything! -Ralph

You may have lost cash but you seem to have acquired the power to multiply adult stick insects solely with the power of your mind.

At lfcc tomorrow. Expecting crowds and long queues. Maybe some toys.

At lfcc tomorrow. Expecting crowds and long queues. Maybe some toys. All the toys will be there. Sod all at Manchester Comic-Con. I would say 75% of what was on sale were Funko Pops and 'mystery boxes'. Easily the poorest variety of tat I've ever seen at such an event. I had hopes for seas of Siege, etc...but no. -Ralph

Pinwig is experimenting with a Chromecast at the moment because he found one hanging out of the back of the TV in the cottage he is renting this week. This is very clever. Open chrome on a laptop and it lets you cast the browser, the desktop or a file to a wireless connected TV screen. It's more than just screen mirroring though. I'm streaming Netflix from the laptop to the TV, but I can still use the laptop to do other things while it does it. What's more, my android tablet has recognised this is going on and has put a control in the pull down menu at the top of the screen to play and pause the video. I didn't install anything to do this, it all just worked.
I know these have been around for years, but I've never used one before. I'm now trying to work out if one would be useful at home.

I bet if you had one of those Google equivalents to Amazon echo you could probably control all that by voice too.
