Gotta be Trailbreaker. Though Soundwave and Megatron are outside possibilities. Martin Does Soundwave's vary that much? I think so

Absolutely toy! It's staggering that some one looked at this and thought that it needed to be redisigned into a block with a face. Saying that, do you think the designer mistook the forcefield projector behind his head and assumed it was the (flat) top? Yes it looks that way to me. Silly animators. Toy!

I seem to recall a colouring book or something where the artist had misinterpreted that boxart dramatically and thought the eyes were a red mouth, the block above them was a nose and the forcefield projector was giant sunglasses

Does Soundwave's vary that much? In TFU and some of the US comics he's purple and has a mouth. But it's not worth voting on, unless someone raises their hand to object saying they always think of him having a mouth. Martin I OBJECT. Soundwave has a mouth! Furious the Digikore 'improvements' have removed his mouth in the newer reprints of Marvel material. -Ralph

And yeah, like the majority of people (apart from the usual dissenters) I'll have to go with the toy. The animation model is just dull.

I think there's a typo in one of the voting options, Big Phil. One which caused me GREAT confusion in my mind.

Fixed.
Firefox remembers previous entries for simple text fields. I went down the list, pressed T, selected Toy, pressed C, selected Comic, pressed A, got distracted, selected Astrotrain and not Animation.
The comic head is the animation head but in the toy colours. The style is very similar and I wouldn't have noticed it was different to the toy but for it being different to the animation in colour

His appearance in Enemy Within was really random. Cool though. As a character he's never done much for me, but he's really cool, even mysterious, in those few panels.

I'm going with cartoon on this one. The black version is just Sideswipes head.
(Ignoring the existence of Sideswipe though, I admit the black looks more balanced).

Really though, what's the difference between toy and comic heads? Is it the shape of his ears? I'm really struggling to see anything.

Is there an original mould Red Alert done with a red head (and hands) I'm suspecting there might be an exclusive somewhere that is. With CHUG the Henkei version, which came first, was red and the Generations black.
