Still nothing from Kapow. They said Weds by email, then "soon" on FB
The full price option selling out at IDT has worried me, cracked and stuck deposit preorders in at IDT.

Thing is, why would they offer it only as a deposit and not full price? I think it suggests they're anxious about the exchange rate and don't want to commit to a price.

ID usually list before Kapow and sell out quicker. I don't think they stock as much. Certainly keeping an eye on Kapow at the mo. Otherwise it's a full price preorder from TFE, which I don't really want with TFN almost here.

Yep. Too expensive and too stressful. Now we've reached the stage of "pay expensive up-front or risk missing out", I think this is where I bow out. A shame, because this is a great looking set. But... it's going to be at least £220 for the lot. More, when prices go up. A shame, but at least I will once more have a "maybe in the future" list.

Agreed. I'd love the Seacons, but... It's one thing when Masterpieces are getting crazy expensive, because they're supposed to be the high-end stuff. But these? They're friggging deluxes! And not even unique molds, they're based on pre-existing toys...
Between the recent Siege exclusives apocalypse and this Selects line, someone at Hasbro needs to look at the business model, this can't be sustainable.

Hasbro will be looking primarily at the US market. After all, Pulse doesn't ship internationally, for one thing. Import rates in other countries sold through other companies will not be a concern.
If all these exclusives sell the desired amount and generate the desired profit they'll stick with this business model.

Two other shops over here have done pre-orders, just not Kapow. They're on TFSExpress now but there's no deposit option. Been an expensive month with TFN, I was just looking to secure an order without paying up front.

I would guess the two that have have offered them up on import while Kapow are waiting on a deal from Hasbro UK.
Robotkingdom still has them so they're still available from Hasbro Asia
