I do like this - but would rather have the blocky original done.
I wonder - do you think there would be a market for toys made in the old G1 style? I'd love a proper brick Impactor, Arcee, Unicron, Xaaron etc. Package them in old style boxes and I'd be away!

If they could be freed from their gangmolding, it would be interesting to see Hotspot, Dead End, Breakdown, Blades ×2, and Groove all repainted/retooled into a Victorion giftset. Diaclone styled Drift Later stage style Windblade Proper 86 or Headmaster Arcee Diaclone style retrosaurs Scorn and Slash Slipstream repaint of Starscream Not just G1 styled bricks, but making them look like they're stylistically from a specific part of G1. |

I really like the look of that Super Megatron. Sure, he's not ideal, being a bit small and not as close to the original design as I might have liked, but then neither was Star Convoy. At 6,000 Yen I'd also say he's a little pricy for a Voyager (for me, anyway), but it is a special edition thing, so that's to be expected. But it *is* something different, and I'm always moaning about how we always get the same versions of characters, so time to put my money where my mouth is, I guess. (For the avoidance of doubt, my mouth is hovering, drooling over the order button waiting for it to activate...)

Can't summon the enthusiasm for this one. It just won't fit with anything. Trying to tell myself that he could lead the Decepticon Micromasters because Star Convoy would go with the Autobot ones, but the size difference is putting me off. It wouldn't balance.

Nah. I'd rather spend the money on some of the Netflix stuff. It's weird at the moment. Earthrise w2 is down for July on the online shops. We usually get stuff appearing well before the given date, but given the current state of the world maybe this time the dates will stick, or even slip. So we're in a period of temporal grace where we can probably get caught up with everything and even save a bit.

If Hasbro Pulse puts this up, I'll bite, because I appreciate the amount of work that went into it. But I feel no particular need to go out of my way to own this. It's just another silver and black G1 megatron.
The only way a Megatron toy can excite me anymore is if its a proper green G2 update, BW, G1ified Animated, or G1ified DotM.
And I'd be pleasantly surprised by a Cybertron update.
But anything outside of that at this point is just another on the megatron pile. And I'm just megatroned out.
