I take it it is the Classics version you have Pinwig? Yeah, I was perfectly happy with that one as Skyfire and still will be. My main JETFIRE however, will always be my yellowing original (with the boxed one in the loft as a back up).
But good for you for not giving in to this peer pressure. Classics is completely worthy.
I think this Siege Jetfire will suffice as my Masterpiece one.

It's Shockers being taunted. My Jetfire complement is boxed G1, Siege and Fans Toys Phoenix. And probably more I've forgotten. I've got a sealed Takara Superlink one. Oh and Japanese and US Armada ones. Maybe more.

I had the G1 toy. It was rubbish.
The Classics one was great. I regret moving it on.
The Thrilling 30 one...oh dear. I got it for a tenner in B&M and still felt ripped off! Not a good toy.
