Yeah I think he's being very selfish there. I'm sure he doesn't need those Classics Seekers either.
Great collection matey. Don't ever tell me where you live, 'cos I'll use my Ninja skills to break into your house and make off with a bag fulla TF swag!!!

You hold him down, I'll kung-fu him in the fan-bean!!! I'm no longer entirely sure what a fan-bean is, but I'm not gonna let you! Tony's put a lot of work, sweat and cold hard cash into that assortment, and I helped him carry a goodly portion of it to the post office in Boston to post it back home after Botcon when it wouldn't all fit in both his suitcases! YOU SHALL NOT PASS! -Nick

I'm with Nick. A collection such as that and especially the person who has amassed it deserves our respect. Shockprowl, you should be ashamed of yourself. Tsk tsk. And you a medic, too. However, if Ireland beat Wales tomorrow, then it's open season on Tony. Bagsy the purple Galvatron reissue, Primus and Grotusque.

Those were good times, Nick! Rest assured that your contributions shall not be forgotten my friend.
I'd also like to say a public thank you to a certain Mr Thurgood who also recently added Slugfest and Overkill to my ranks of Decepticon cassette's. It may be a bit hard to see them in amongst all that lot, but they are there if you squint.

Just gone through it again, it's incredible! Is the G1 section complete? Is there actually anthing that you're still after for your collection?

The G1 section isin't complete just yet. I'm still looking for Siren and Horri-Bull to complete my Headmasters, the Targetmaster versions of Cyclonus, Scourge and Blurr, about 9 Pretenders and quite a few Micromasters. There's also a whole load of Japanese stuff I'm on the lookout for, but refuse to pay silly money for. It's all a work in progress.

Good luck with Targemaster Scourge. He was shortpacked in the original case assortments (two of everybody except Triggerhappy and Scourge, of whom there were 3 and 1 respectively) and is quite hard to find, tending to go for silly money when he does show up. I was really hoping he'd be reissued in the book-style boxes after Hot Rod. Ah well.
Still no box today. Bah.

I won a boxed and complete TM Blurr off eBay the other day for £24, so he's affordable bro. But try and spend less than 2 years to get Siren's head guns, like I've been doing. Pain in the arse!
Horri-Bull is also cheap enough to find, but TM Scourge? Ye gods Last I saw he went for over £80.
Just on that, what's the most expensive TF you own?
And a question for the other users, is it wrong to be in your late twenties and to get stupidly excited over photographs of shelved of plastic toys?
Because I still have a grin on my face 15 mintes after browsing through Tony's photobucket account

I'm in my early (ahem- mid) thirties and not only had a grin but turn insane/fan-bean-attacking green with envy!
Wether it's wrong or not is another question!
Most expensive in my collection would prob be MP Megatron. I don't collect vintage G1- too expensive! Although I've got some vintage G1 stuff that I've no idea how much they go for, eg Abominus, most of the Predacons.

Seeing all those is really making me want to dig out my collection. Odd to think I havent had all my Transfomers out at one time since the mid 90s and my collection will have doubled, tripled, maybequadrupled since then. I think I know what Im going to do with my unemployment.
Aside from being a great collection I really like how they are displayed especially the G1 stuff by size looks very neat.
Andy
Edit: How many of them have boxes/packaging and what do you do with them while the toys are on display?

As someone who used to have approaching a hundred Transformers, but felt that was too many and has since slimmed it down to a more sensible 55 robots, a number that allows me to appreciate owning each in its own right, I can't say I exactly envy you - especially when it comes to dusting them. But an awesomely impressive achievement, nonetheless! Martin (The Martin Collection = 1984/5 Prime, first 18 Autobot cars, first 11 Mini Autobots, Jetfire, Megatron, Soundwave, first 6 Decepticon jets, first 5 Spy Cassettes, 3 Insecticons, 6 Constructicons, Blitzwing and Astrotrain. )

That is a very impressive collection indeed. Dwarfs my collection even when it was at its high water mark. I would echo Martin's observation, not so much in the point of how long it would take to dust them but in terms of how much time and effort must be taken up in getting them down to dust in the first place, and setting them up again afterwards.
Very impressive indeed.

Dust? It beats even the Davidson Room Of Robots, which I did not think possible. I take solace in the fact that I probably have the lead on South American Minibot repaints It's an excellent display, but I'm afraid I have to mess it up. Tony, find some space for this.-Nick

To combat dust, it pays to keep them behind glass. I use a proper trophy cabinet and the dust that gets in is negligible. Even the Ikea cabinet that houses my Unicron statue, with large space around the door, has less than half the general level of dust of the room.

I dunno about that! It's true that I have been practising Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years, but with my kidney problems in the last year or two I've barely done any training recently.
> It's an excellent display, but I'm afraid I have to mess it up. Tony, > find some space for this.
WOO-HOOO!! A suitable space has been allocated on the G1 top shelf. I may display him combined with Star Sabre to save space.
> Just on that, what's the most expensive TF you own?
Probably Fortress Maximus, followed by Star Sabre, Dezaraus and then Metrotitan.
> Aside from being a great collection I really like how they are > displayed especially the G1 stuff by size looks very neat. > How many of them have boxes/packaging and what do you do > with them while the toys are on display?
It's a fault I have that I'm a bit of a neat freak when it comes to building a display, especially with my Transformers. As for the boxes, I have maybe a tenth of the G1 packaging as I buy most of it loose to save costs. I do have almost all of the packaging from the stuff that's been released in the last fifteen years. Most of that is stored away in the attic.
Thank you all for the compliments. It's good to know that the effort I took in putting it all together is appreciated and I'm glad you enjoyed having a look. It was a lot of fun to do.

I dunno about that! It's true that I have been practising Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years - Tony Eeek! No more threatening your Fan-Bean then!!!!!! Have you insured your collection? I mean, it must be worth quadzillions. If not, would you consider it? Have any other Hubbers insured their collections? Don't worry, I'm not an insurance salesman in my spare time or owt. Ian

As far back as 1995 or earlier even I thought about it. Since then the collection has grown more than a bit. first Id have to make a list of every memento. I really cant face that even though I want to. It'd cost a thousand just to replace, LeoKaiser, Max and last years botcon boys. I'd really have no hope of replacing it if something were to happen to my toys. Then again its sentimental attachment so for replacementsI wouldnt give a toss. Though I expect the monetary value would help the sense of loss.

Edited for rhyming week (original post below) As far back as 1995 or earlier even I thought about it.At its current size I really should I suppose, first Id have to make a list of everything and I really cant face that even though I want to. Just last years Botcon set, Leozack and Brave Max must be worth about a 1000gbp I really would have no hope of ever replacing it if something were to happen to it. Then again so much of it is sentimental attachment I dont know how many I would really want to replace. Though I expect the monetary value would help the sense of loss.
