I haven't bought Grapple because of the peg issue.

Grapple, Exhaust and Wheeljack... my QC experience with Earthrise is not great.

My Grapple has been absolutely fine, wasn't even aware of the peg issue until I'd transformed him a few times and saw it mentioned here.

Mine seems pretty good too. I will say looking back over a number of the generations lines the QC is really quite poor for a company of Hasbro's stature. There are quite a few that I wont transform in case bits break or paint gets damaged.

My Grapple only has the issue on one peg. Kinda odd, and caught me by surprise.
Will sandpaper do the job, you think?

As far as I'm concerned it's a really good way to adjust them. I have really fine dental burrs that I use just because it's quicker

One of the things you could used to rely on was that the Takara releases would have much better QC.
Unfortunately they no longer do their own Generations stuff, and that aside it sounds like the QC on recent Masterpiece releases (and that notorious Encore release of Omega Prime) has been really iffy.

I've never understood how the Masterpiece QC could be poor when it's a premium item. I had a Sideswipe (definitely not KO, I checked extensively) With scratches on the widescreen and multiple paint errors.

Oh, I thought the MP QC problems were more recent. I started with Sideswipe, and I think Ironhide was the last one I got, and never had any problems that weren't inherent design flaws (Hot Rod not being able to roll on all four wheels is very stupid, even if I otherwise love that mould) rather than poor build quality.

CW Magnus is the best Magnus to date. Sure, Siege is a nice update, but CW is just more fun.

I love ol' Red Thighs (CW Magnus with the red thighs). I don't like the whole Minibull Ampule thing, but the Magunus figure, truck and cab IN ONE, is superb.

I like CW and Siege Magnus equally as they are very different with their play patterns but also feel like proper Magnus toys.
Re: red thighs CW Magnus vs white thigh. I don't think one is better than the other. They're just different. Their wee pal I prefer as Alpha Trion over Minibus Ambus due to the bright colours.
I am really intruigued as to what the rumoured Kingdom Magnus will be like, if it exists.
