Hi All
First post - I have a copy of the Transmasters UK fan fiction book 'The Last Odyssey' which I purchased back at Transforce 2004(?) at Mitcham.
I wondered how rare or sort after this is and if anyone would be interested in purchasing in it from me? Saving for a new guitar...
Any help my appreciated.
Cheers G

It is extremely rare as I don't think we went into production on it in the end, but equally I suspect there is a very low market for it. I remember holding a draft copy at some point.

Hi.
I was one of the writers on that project. Alas, Royal Mail lost most of the copies so very few got a copy of it. I still shudder about it.

I wrote a couple of the stories in it too and, if it has any value, it’s only to those of us who contributed but never got a copy because, as Ralph says, most of the copies got lost. I’ll give you a couple of quid for it. PM me if you want to sell it.

Thank you all for your replies and information - that's gutting that Royal Mail lost so many. It's a great read, thank you to all those that contributed.
If anyone is interested in buying please send me a message.
Cheers G

It may have more historical value now given Yahoo Groups where many of the original versions of the stories came from is effectively blanking old message archives shortly. I *think* I have made an archive of them bit not yet tested it.

Woar. Look at that. Proper spiral bound fanzine. Those were the days.

Not required, though: the guy who was selling it didn’t get a sale so came back to me. It is now sitting on my bookshelf. Had a look at one of my stories and cringed a bit but it brought back some good memories. Can’t quite figure out how it’s 15 years ago. Looks like you should bring it along to tfn to give the others a little dose of nostalgia. I won’t be at tfn as it clashes with my Dad’s 70th birthday do; annoyingly, the date only ever seems to work for me about once every 4 years and always for a different reason.

Glad you got your copy. If I remember (big if) I'll bring my copy to TF nation anyway. Quite happy to pass it on to one of the original authors.

I hope whoever gets it gets some enjoyment out of it. It's not my greatest moment.

I forgot, I somehow have a copy of this as well. I think it might have been Paul Anderson who passed his copy on to me.

I want to know how we get our royalties for Hasbro’s new subline. 😃

It cannot be a coincidence that yesterday while Mrs M and I wear sorting long unopened boxes I came across a CD marked 'LO Bobbins' in Andy's handwriting. Beyond it being Last Odyssey related I have no idea what is on yet.

Pretty sure it will be the print ready files on Microsoft Publisher.
If that is the case, email me them and I can actually remaster the bastard and fire it up on Lulu so we can all get copies again.

Will do. I strongly suspect it'll need another editing pass.

Oh, all those illustrations would be redone as well as the cover design.

I had a look and sadly most of my LO files are lost, I do have the psd's for the cover and spine, and a couple of text files.

Has Fireguard ever been used as a TF name before? Pretty sure that was the name of one of the redshirts from my Last Odyssey stories and now it’s a character in Galactic Odyssey, right? Highly suspicious (not suspicious)!

Why didn’t they do one called Fireplace 😃
Just remembered I also had a planet of clones but I’ll give them that. However, if one of the last sets is a silver Bumblebee recolour called Silverbug then they’ll be hearing from my legal team (ages 1 and 3).
