The current issue of Total Film confidently includes a picture of the Fallen from WW2 as part of their pictorial update on the progress of the film. Which means someone over there has done some homework, but still asserting things that haven't been confirmed yet. I kick their face.

Well done, Ralph!
Did someone's dog also enter the competition?

Did someone's dog also enter the competition? Unless there really is a 'Mr Killer' out there. Either that or a terrible fan-character I once wrote with that name has escaped fictionality and is now entering competitions to win Transformers comics. You never know. -Ralph

Heh, the shortened link as it's displayed there says 'mum-dinobots'.
Now there's a mental image.

Oh, I would so love to see the Dinobots' mum turn up while they're in the midst of being mean and rebellious, and ground them. No! Even better... make them go and stand in the corner until they learn their manners...

'Grimlock go to bed now its way past your bedtime.' 'But mum..' 'Don't you "but mum" me, go to bed now and stop fighting with those Decepticons.' 'Yes mum'
Grimlock walks slowly back to the Ark.

I can only imagine Mum-Dinobots as looking something like the Dinoforce's wives from the Victory comic series, only a little bit older and taller. (Because obviously they can't be properly motherly if their offspring can see over the top of the their heads).
But I can just see how this would work.
"Grimlock, have you looked at the weather out there." "But Mom, Snarl is allowed out." "I don't care, you are not going out in that without your Pretender shell!"

I wonder if Mum-Dinobot has a hankie in her handbag, which she licks furiously before:
"Oh, Grimlock, you've got tar all over your face again!"

Grimlock: "Say your prayers, Megatron..."
Megatron: "No!"
Grimlock: "You're about to become history!"
SHAKKOOOSH!
Megatron: "NEEEARRGH!"
Grimlock: "Victory! I scream my triumph at his fellow Decepticons... With one stroke I have turned the tide of this war against them. Leaderless... shocked, none of them can stand against the might of Grimlock..."
Mum Dinobots: "BOZO! Bozo, if I've told you once, I've told you a hundred times, stop picking on the quiet kids."
Grimlock (softly): "Muuum... don't call me 'Bozo' in front of my friends..."
Mum Dinobots: "Don't be silly now. Give me back my potato-peeler and come and sit nicely on the bench. Why can't you be a good boy like Sludge?"
Optimus Prime: "Excuse me, ma'am, but you can't take Grimlock off the battlefield at such an important juncture. He's one of our mightiest mechanoids."
Mum Dinobots: "He's not a mighty mechanoid, he's a very naughty boy, and he's got to sit on the sidelines until halftime in order to learn some manners."

Sludge brings Joy Meadows home for the first time.
Mum-Dinobot: "And this is Sludge on his first day of school. Oh, look how he's worn the knees out of his trousers! Ooh, and this is Sludge in the bath! Awwwww. And there he is on the potty. See that there? That's how he got his name!"

In fairness though, no comparisons can be made with any other series as no issues of MD have actually come out yet.

I think they can, the 0 issues of MD have only marginally less story than the first three issues of AHM.

It will probably sell around the same. Retailers will order it as they usually order TF minis.
That is a splendid cover!
Also note the cover states '3 of 5'. Identifying length of series on the cover: Is that a new thing for IDW?

Fingers crossed that it will. Well I know I will be buying all five which will beat the 1 issue of AHM I stumped up the cash for.

Oh, I do like that cover. Very striking and promises good things. The solicitation synopsis seems quite promising as well.
I'd swithered about picking this up after not being that fussed about "Spotlight: Grimlock". But I think I am swinging towards ponying up the cash for it after all. It does sound like it there is to be a decent amount going on in the story.
