I got my ravage! So the last big TF worry of the year is over! No more transformers related stress left!

Hasbro is saying they aren't allowing preorders on wave five, which goes live in january.
No preorders on the wave that immediately follows christmas, the time of year every retail store collectively goes "**** the toy isle" for several months, is a monumental "screw you" to fans.

It's mad I can order the Pipes recolour but not Pipes. Or can order Legacy wave 1, due next July.

Have we got a wave breakdown for five beyond Pipes, Slammer and Blaster? K43 could be another figure brought forward - one of the three Cores to mix in with some reissues?

So is 'Legacy' a continuation of War for Cybertron? Or the start of a new trilogy? Or a filler line before the next trilogy? (why does everything have to be trilogies? I need to stop saying trilogy now...)

We assumed it was the start of a new trilogy because the last one is done, and leaks/store listings were calling the new toys Legacy: Evolution. However it seems Hasbro are being cagey about it. The evolution part hasn't appeared officially and when asked that exact question in the round table call, it seems they avoided answering.

I'm guessing "trilogies" based on hasbro designer headcanons are done, but they said that "WfC set a standard that will continue." I'm assuming they mean aesthetics, as the legacy toys look pretty much the same as seige onwards.
Trilogies were kind of a dumb and limiting idea, anyway.

This feels like some inane punishment for some imaginary crime.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with uncertainties over global shipping. Pulse dates keep slipping at the moment. They've also said Legacy should be April but they've advertised it as June to be 'safe'. They probably don't want to offer preorders for a wave saying January when they're internally wondering if it'll actually be March. Much easier to stave off the complaints and just say, we'll put it up when we have it.

That certainly makes sense to me. Although I don't see what's stopping places like Kapow from taking pre-orders anyway if they know that stock's coming? (Maybe Hasbro haven't guaranteed it to other suppliers, so they can't? Or maybe it'd just be in breach of some contract if they did.)
That aside, this Blaster was a nice surprise. And yes, it makes sense that Blaster can come packaged with a cassette if it's just a Micromaster. Although that still doesn't explain why Soundwave never did, because his WFC cassettes were also Micromasters. Maybe this is just to make the price hikes seem a little more palatable...
Disappointing also that Eject wasn't revealed via Mark's beard. Missed opportunity there.

I find myself in a quandry. I have decided to buy no more TF's this year, as my degree and Christmas have to take priority now. But that means that I'm hoping that Blaster, Pipes, Slammer and Skids don't sell out before the new year.
First world problems and all that!

Well, so far it's still rumored that Blaster will be in Legacy, much like Astrotrain was pulled forward to Siege, but still was in Earthrise.

Slammer looks good, but seeing as I don't have a Metroplex I'll pass - and also because of space and money reasons. And also because we are obliged to get Blaster. That'll do for me.

Blaster and Pipes, as and when funds allow, I guess. Probably not til after Christmas now, assuming they were due before then?

Not really feeling it with Blaster, the cartoon head doesn't really do it for me. Having similar feelings to Perceptor - looks like a nice, articulated, faithful update but there are other toys from not too long ago that are just more fun. No doubt I will cave and buy both of them!
Slammer appeals to me most here. I also don't have Metroplex (had been hoping for them to have a second go at him), but he can be a companion to Sixgun, and he looks neat. Still get strong PCC Heavytread vibes off of him, which is no bad thing!

Got Tigatron in, today.
If you dislike Cheetor, this mold probably won't win you over. I love Cheetor, but don't like Tigatron nearly as much. My biggest complaint is his arms are set too far back. Behind his head and torso.
He's far from bad, though! I just don't like him as much as the smaller, cheaper, less complex version.
