The current design ethos seem to be gimmick-averse so I fear Armada remakes that don't have the play features. Just compare CW Armada Megs to the original. Does fuck all.

Confirms product number as E8621 That slots him in before Exhaust in the earlier block of numbers that also covers the Target exclusives. But GS22! So for GS-17 and 20, E9687 is left in the middle of a block that runs Spy Patrol, G2 Megatron, Centurion, ?, Hubcap, Bugbite, Hothouse and Rotorstorm. Then there's F0856 which goes between G2 Sandstorm and Tigertrack. Which tells us... nothing. There's no logic in there at all is there. Only that Sandstorm and Tigertrack seem to be later afterthoughts to the main bunch and are straight easy repaints with no remoulding. If Ratchet really is a two pack with Paradron then that means there must still be more unseen figures, but you could see GS-17 E9687 Ratchet (Accessories reused or remoulded from the Walmart ones) GS-20 F0856 Paradron (straight repaint) Doesn't feel right though. Ratchet isn't a Selects figure, Ratchet is a main line toy. He'd look odd among that lot. He kinda breaks the Selects purpose in being the weird repaint line.

Ah but Ratchet wasn't a mainline toy last time. He was a !,!,!;@&@^@:@ exclusive which was an arse to get.

Yes, but he was at least in a retail shop, not stuck in a fan focused online range designed to make us all pretend we aren't going 'who the fuck is that then?' when they reveal things.

Siege and ER (and even a lot of the CW trilogy) have all heavily played in to the gimmick transformers interacting in a similar way to Armada and Energon. Micromasters turned in to weapons for larger toys, hell we even got a mini Energon Sabre. Weaponisers powered up other figures. I mean we probably arent going to get minicons triggering spring loaded weapons or lights or sounds, but the interaction between smaller and arger toys can still be there.

Those feet are too big. And not just in rat mode. Apart from stability (which could have been solved with a flip out heel) there is no need for them to be that large in robot mode either. Apart from that, I like it.

I was just curious to see from that photo how Core will compare to Legend. Looks pretty much the same height, maybe a bit lighter on plastic.

Rattrap may look ike less plastic than tailgate, but there are two important distinctions- Tailgate, and all TR style legends have to accommodate a cockpit that Rattrap doesn't And Rattrap looks a bit more complex, with more moving parts.

Now that I’ve seen more of that Rattrap I like him more. He’s got a nice robot mode, and at a scale that better suits the characters. That’s enough for him, but there’s still a lot of good Optimus Primal figures already in existence, so we’ll have to wait and see what they can bring to the table...
Although of course as I type this I realise that what I really want is not Beast Wars toys, but show-accurate Beast *Machines* toys. That’s what this line could bring to the table.

I just want to know ONE THING:
Where is Earthrise JAZZ?!
and
Will there be an Earthrise Owl Prowl?!
Ok, actually that's two things. Let me start again.

There's a Jazz coming in the Studio Series 86 line next year, so he'll (probably?) fit with the Earthrise figures.

I assume you mean Kingdom in both cases? I just want to know ONE THING: Where is Earthrise JAZZ?! Good question. See also: Skids Will there be an Earthrise Owl Prowl?! Almost all the Kingdom Beasts on the listings leaks are show characters. The only exception is an easy repaint. I don't see Owl Prowl happening unless they do something VERY clever with Airazor. Which reminds me....

The rumors also specifically state that there would be no toy-only characters from the BW portion.
Though as Phil pointed out that's been shot down with Shadow Panther's inclusion, so make of that what you will. But while both are unlikely, I think Magnaboss Prowl is more likely than Owl Prowl.

We'll put the core figures for now, Selects hasn't done many smaller toys. Ditto the Fossilisers as they're a bit of an Unknown We can chuck Voyager Starscream and Leader Optimus Prime out cos they're Earthrise repacks. We can also *probably* eliminate Arcee and Wheeljack for the same reason. So that leaves DELUXEWarpath Huffer Pipes Tracks Slammer
Cheetor Blackarachnia Shadow Panther Waspinator Airazor Scorponok VOYAGERCyclonus Optimus Primal Inferno Rhinox Tigatron Dinobot LEADERT-Rex Megatron Galvatron Ultra Magnus All good so far? Huffer and Pipes are ALMOST CERTAINLY remoulds of each other as are Cheetor and Shadow Panther. They get crossed off the list. So our list of unique toys is thinned down to DELUXEWarpath Tracks Slammer
Blackarachnia Waspinator Airazor Scorponok VOYAGERCyclonus Optimus Primal Inferno Rhinox Tigatron Dinobot LEADERT-Rex Megatron Galvatron Ultra Magnus Now Warpath & Slammer may or may not be remoulds of each other. Both are tanks. However Slammer is a Titan companion so he might be a Weaponiser/Modulator - does that make Warpath one too? A mystery for now. Both Tracks and Inferno could be, and very likely are, remoulds of Wheeljack/Sunstreacker and Grapple from Earthrise. They've stayed IN my list as they'll be substantial remoulding on each and both have obvious repaints for Selects to milk - Road Rage/Loud Pedal and Artfire. But how do we do we think these others will be repainted/remoulded for Selects? Yes we looked at this before off the poster - see tmukhub.proboards.com/post/417447/thread - but the list has evolved somewhat since then. Any ideas?

Cyclonus has an Armada, doesn't he? T rex Megatron into Magmatron. Dinobot to Grimlock, or Hardhead or Slash. Rhinox was unique last time, so there's form there, so too with Galvatron.

I'm gonna hate Cyclonus because he's taking a spot rightfully belonging to Terrorsaur. Cyclonus could have been in Studio Sunbow.
· Rattrap offers us Packrat. · Waspinator- Buzzsaw · Megatron- T-Wrecks · Dinobot- BW Grimlock · Blackarachnia- Arcee, Crystal Widow, TFA Blackarachnia · Optimus Primal- Universe Optimus Primal · Scorponok- Double Punch, Sandstorm · Rhinox- Evil Rhinox, Backstop
I'd have bet everything we'd get a Selects Shadow Panther from Cheetor. It's the most obvious one to do. Completely blindsided me him being standard retail. And with Tigatron, the most obvious ones are done.
Terrorsaur offered the most repaint potential- Fractyl (in a set with Packrat, I'd kill for), Lazorbeak/Hydra, Swoop, Strafe

Why is he holding a vacuum cleaner?
