I think this is a responce to 2020 where everything kept getting pushed back, then that date arrives and pushed back again. So better to give the long date this time and then send them out "early" instead of estimating normally, then bumping back.
Other things to further differentiate SilverWarp from Airazor:
Leave the wings extended like the original toy, which would change the toy's entire silhouette. Don't turn the feet backwards in robot mode. Don't straighten out the lower legs, giving it a gargoyle stance.
Combined with different colors, swords, a new robot head, beast head, and an ideally minorly reengineered head transformation, SilverWarp would be extremely different from Airazor. That said, if it's just a straight repaint with (hopefully) a new beast head, it'd still be more different than quite a few exclusives we've gotten lately.
Typically, I was actually hoping that they'd give Grimlock a more G1-esque toy head, just because it's Grimlock. But that head looks like it looks the original Dinobot toy more, which is actually more appropriate, so I'm good with this also.
And this does leave two re-release opportunities open down the way: toy head Dinobot; and G1-head Grimlock. Although they'd better not, just for the sake of my wallet.
Someone will make bigger missiles for us. Bonus points if they can make the buggers fire. No one makes firing missiles anymore. I was only lamenting this yesterday when I accidentally shot myself in the face with Energon Megatron's tank. I'd forgotten that had a missile in it.
