Wingfinger flying cracks me up. I know Transformers don't need to abide by the same rules as real vehicles and animals, but the dude's just bones.
Makes me kinda want to see him unable to fly, but dreams of it.

So there are now three core class decepticons and just prime for the autobots. Who else should they do?
Also: if they made a core class unicron how big would that be and would it be a way to make a cheaper toy?

A core class Unicron would be cheaper by several hundred dollars, and be what... Three inches?

Scorponok measures 5.5-inches and comes with "a Mega Missile and Cyberbee drone accessory," as well as "claw and tail articulation." Ooh, tail articulation. I remember breaking the tail on my then-new Scorponok because it looked like it was articulated, but wasn't. Fortunately, I'd bought him cheaply at Poundstretcher so I just bought another.

Okay so. The deluxe fossilizers are officially a combiner, though I think a "happy accident" that was exploited in the 11th hour, instead of something intentionally designed.
Here's the question: Are they gonna complete each set? There are three Tyrannosaurs, two ceratopsians, and one pterosaur. It's unlikely that Wingfinger won't get a repaint.
So we have three flavors so far. -Real Fossils (sandstone for paleo, opal for rack, haven't IDed wing yet) -Glowy bones -Whatever's going on with Transmutate.
If anyone is a one off, I'd bet Transmutate is. But we have Glowy Purple Tyrannosaur, and Glowy Red Triceratops. Does this mean that we're going to get a glowy pterosaur?

Completely agree about it being an 11th hour thing. I can see they liked the combinations fans were posting online and hadca fiddle with the extra bits from the new figures. Those toys break down into such small pieces it wouldn't be difficult to build a combined form from them.
I find I'm losing interest in them now. Not sure why. When I saw the bright green Vertebreak repaint I just thought, nah, I don't need all of these. The red and black one looks very striking but it would be totally out of place with the more naturally coloured retail figures. Reckon I'll get Wingfinger to complete the basic retail colours moulds and leave it at that.

I agree. A huge thing I loved about them is that they were made to look like real fossils. Vertibreak looks like a museum mount. Paleotrex looks like the sandstone of the badlands.
I wrote purple off as energon or pure energy or something. Just a one off. Never understood what's going on with Transmutate, but it works for her. Also a one off. I'd thought Dracodon was Jade, which sorta works (but not really), until they said he's plutonium or something. And then we have lava triceratops.
These look pretty? But they're not doing it for me the way the originals are.
Also I'm calling it: Wingfinger's redeco will be white and transparent blue, for ice.

The Tricanius colour scheme is so familiar but I can't quite place it. It's a beast. I'm not even sure it's a Transformer.

Ah! Maybe RiD (Beast Machines) Bruticus. It looks like a G1 Predacon colour scheme to me. There's some indication that Bruticus, like several of the other BM repaints in RiD, was taking G1 inspiration. In His case, Predaking.

I really like the look of Wingfinger. Yes, it's ridiculous, but that's kind of why I love it. Also it'll be needed to complete that Totally Intentional Gestalt Mode (TM). But yeah, I just like it.
I also really like the colour scheme on Tricranius - puts me in mind of Galaxy Force Flame Convoy. (Who may have been mentioned above in his Cybertron name, but I have no idea what that is having only really experienced Galaxy Force.) Since I don't have a Ractonite yet I was going to get this version of the mold... and then I saw the price. Yeah, it's nice, but at essentially twice the price I think I am going to pass. Yes, I know they did the same thing with Centurion and like a fool I swallowed that, but the extra pieces included with that were much more interesting - Roller, G1 Megs, a cage, etc. The blast effects just don't seem worth the price of a whole Deluxe to me. Ah well...
