I was going to say the mix of white and light grey plastic is not a good look, but it's actually a decent match for the original toy, isn't it?
Are the arms maybe mistransformed? Comparing with the art it looks like the gun part should be mounted on the side of the forearm.
Getting slight PCC Heavy Tread vibes off the overall design.
The more I look at it the more I like it!

Spammer's tank mode looks really spot on though! I actually got a prang of the ol' nostal'! (I had Metroplex as a nipper, fresh off the shelf he was!).
Slammer's robot mode looks like someone else though.... not sure whombe.

The Slammer tank mode upthread IS the original Slammer, posted to prove Jim's point about the colour.
It is interesting trying to work out how the robot turns into something resembling that!

But is he a retool of Brunt as the early speculation, or is he a retool of Airwave?

There are several similarities to Brunt, but the transformation must be different because Brunt's forearms make tank tracks and on Slammer the forearms are clearly the gun barrel. Brunt's gun barrel comes from his legs.
But then if it's weaponiser tech they come apart and go back together in all manner of ways. You wait, before long someone will make that robot out of Brunt bits.

The arms seem to form the turret but there's two 5mm pegs there.... I can't see how the gun gets centered. And I can't work out how it all folds up.

If you look closely you'll see his right arm (on our left) isn't slid as far up it's 5mm peg as his left

As well as Ironfist, Slammer is giving me Nosecone vibes. The heads pretty close to a few of the technobots, but alt mode obviously favours Nosecone.
Theres also a bit of Rook about it. Its been nearly 7 years its time for a new Rook.
