"Buggerlugs"is widely used by Scottish Mothers (and Fathers) - my mother picked it up from her partner, a scot, when we were in our teens. It is not seen in Scotland as having the sexual connotations that it does south of the border. In the same way that saying f%^k and derivatives of said in the middle of a sentence does not have the connotations of swearing in most quarters in Scotland. It is just a comma. Linguistic uses differ between nations, they even differ between areas in nations, and sometimes even villages. Karl
