The more I think about this... Straxus #2 is the reflection of Straxus #1 in his glass container... so he should cease to exist when the lights go out, regardless of whether Straxus #1 is awake or asleep... This makes so little sense, but it's great!

Technically I've never stated if he's just a figment of Straxus' imagination or a manifestation of MPD. I've left it ambiguous, hence why no-one in the strip can here him talk other than the dead, or now the narrator, as they are technically outwith things and on a different plane.
There's a lot more work involved in this nonsense than you would think.
