For the NonCons among us I'll be running the Zoom Saturday night as per usual.
And if anyone wants to join us live from the event ....

Assuming Cineworld still exists tomorrow, we are book to see 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' in the evening.

Been out with Mrs P. Currently sat in a local takeaway pizza place waiting to pick up a large vegetarian.
I was hoping we'd be back earlier but time has disappeared today. Next week back to routine, there shall be no missed calls.

Also looking at the tracking on a royal mail delivery that was due today from ID. Still says out for delivery, which can't be true this time of night. I wonder if the recycling bin will provide once again or if there will be the red card of doom on the mat.

You sent me down an expensive rabbit hole!
I had no interest at all in Wun-Dar until you asked who he was. I thought he was a cartoon character and ignored him, but when you asked I got curious and went looking, only to find he was technically an 80s toy, albeit a mail away offer. As my self-set collection rule is 80s updates, he had to be added. It nagged and nagged at me all week. Fifty quid! Fifty quid he cost! I'd never have known had you not asked who he was. Even Ralph can't make me spend money that effectively.
He arrived this morning.

apologies for the sudden exit but the head went boom very suddenly and I needed some peace and quiet to get it back together. Improving but not there yet

I don't understand how eBay UK is flooded with £50 Wun-Dars. Martin

I didn't want to buy him either!
EBay is flooded with £50 Wun-Dars because the purchase limit was 3 on Mattel Creations, so everyone who was lucky enough to get a purchase inside the two minute window he was on sale bought three so they could flog the other two. Or in some cases bought three so they could flog all three of them.

Or if you're a nice person like Colin, buy three then offer the other two at cost to forum members.

If it makes you feel any better, I am *this close* to pulling the trigger on a Webstor. They remain very expensive.

Argh I was off today and completely forgot about the call. One day I may be off on a Saturday, be in the house and actually remember.
I still need to post Phil's Wun-Dar, and I do have a Kol-Dar in the way thanks to a kind sole on a Facebook group, as I was the one who gave him the info on when the figure would be going on sale, but I was too busy at work and couldn't sneak away for a few minutes.
But Wun-Dar is an easy repaint. He is just a He-man repainted with Zodak's armour and even then the original mail away figure never came with any armour. The black armour was from one of the accessory packs and when the figure showed up online, who ever owned him dressed him up in that way.

There will now be piles of them in TK Maxx for a fiver. In other news, we are out to watch THE WRATH OF KHAN on the big screen this Saturday evening. -Ralph

The last time I saw Wrath of Khan on the big screen was in the company of William Shatner. And then the next week the country shut down as the pandemic hit. I'm not taking that risk again...

Ralph has not been on the call since he admitted to me a horrible purchase...coincidence or avoidance of a well deserved roasting?
I will let you all decide.

Coincidence. Last 3 Saturdays I have been watching Star Trek in the cinema or had the parental units staying.
Also: I admitted my horrible purchase in a group chat. I have not hidden my shame.
I should be on next week.

Triple-bill at the cinema tomorrow to cheer myself up after The Council cancelled the local festival. No fun is allowed for 10 days, they say.
If I can get the mobile app sound to work I will pop on and say hi between films.

I'll be on. Might be preoccupied finishing construction on a Mobile Suit (want to see what the RX-78 kit looks like completed as stock before I roll it back onto the workbench to repurpose as a custom heavy weapons unit) but I'll be present.
