Would you trust Ralph with your firstborn? IIRC Firstborn was a very odd BBC Drama with Charles Dance. -Ralph Is that the one where he's a scientist and adapted Dad to a half human half great ape hybrid?

By the time he's ready, Banana will be old enough to Ralphsit. Woaw there, Pinwig struggled to Docsit, and he's like, trained and stuff. I'm not sure poor Banana could be charged with such a task.

Hub Babies are inbound over the next few weeks.
This is the thread for news, updates, photos and panic. And advice once they have arrived.
Currently sat in the local hospital car park while Mrs M is with the midwife for 36 week appointment. Marmaduke has been shuffling around a lot. We are concerned of breach.

It is sideways apparently. Joy is back on Monday to see the consultant about something else so we may get a bonus scan then. Nothing to worry about, will just determine whether we go to the labour ward or more relaxed birthing suite when the time comes.

Yeah, it'll be fine. Little monkey will probably turn yet.
Hey, just realised something:
Is 'LOCKDOWN BABY' a possible sequel to 'DELTA FORCE DADDY'...?

I spent the early hours of Thursday morning sat in a car park whilst Jo went in to get the Scraplet checked on because it'd not been moving that much. Turns out it was fine, and that the little bugger just wanted a change of scenery - as soon as it heard new things it started moving around as normal. Typical.
Of course, what we realised later was that we'd not actually watched Doctor Who for a couple of days, and that's why it wasn't doing much.
No, really. Over the last few weeks we've been doing a watch through of nuWho (re-watch for me, first time for the conjunx), and have made it to the end of series 5 now. The Scraplet always starts moving when it hears the theme tune. The indoctrination has already started...

Glad all is ok, Llama! Best to get them checked out if there are any changes in movement.
Mrs M is seeing the consultant on Monday to clear something up that was spotted.in the first scan. Nothing to worry about but will determine some of the direction of care during the labour. The little tyke could also do with getting 'engaged' properly soon. Front is to back but it keeps spinning round.
How many weeks are you up to now? We got to 36 weeks today!

We were at 37 weeks on Thursday, which puts us at 38 weeks as of this coming Thursday. So, given the statistics, the Scraplet should basically be expected to arrive at any point from this Thursday onwards. Just as well I can comfortably say that we're completely ready for it. But that's mostly because I've gotten comfortable with lying.
We ended up doing online NCT antenatal courses a couple of weeks back, which were a bit pricey but given the NHS had cancelled their in-person courses (unsurprisingly) it seemed a worthwhile expense. From our group of nine parents-to-be we were third in the list of arrival dates, and yesterday the two before us had their firsts - being 10 and 12 days early respectively. So we've got everything packed for the hospital and ready to go now...
Hope that yours drops into position soon, and that the additional care stuff isn't too worrying...

Completely. Ready. Here. Too.
Spent the last few days spring cleaning and rearranging the bedroom to fit Marmaduke's cot in.
His/her position has changed. Either perfect or upside down now. Hard to tell what is head and what is butt.

We did a free antenatal course that the local council were offering as NHS cancelled. We also had a couple of Zoom sessions with other expectant families from church and a midwife friend of ours from there.
Plus I have seen the episode of TNG when Worf helps Keiko give birth. I am ready to tell Joy she may start pushing.

You are still not going to get to squeeze baby bits.
That would require you meeting us in person after all.

Mrs M has just been up for an extra check at the hospital. Marmaduke is a beast. If left to term would be more than 10lb. And is still sitting sideways. They will induce or c-sec at 39 weeks if not out yet. Another check next week. I'm now looking at all the Size 1 nappies and new born clothes that may not fit now... Blast.
