Gosh, I still remember accidentally firing an Armada Unicron leg missile at baby Piglet. Flew an inch over her head...

After a 30 hour gap... Three giant poos in 12 hours!! Songs will be sung of this day. I just hope their is a verse dedicated to the noble parents who had to wade in.

The Scraplet has developed something of a pooing face - not an obvious tell, but it still gives a clue. And there's been a couple of times when I've been changing his nappy before he's done, and he's continued pooing. So I've learned. Sort of.
Yesterday, whilst he was sat on my lap, he did a poo. Which was fine, and I thought, let's give it five minutes before changing so I can be sure he's done. And sure enough he did another. And another. And just when I thought he must surely be done, he pulled the most concentrating face... and with that, his nappy having already reached capacity, milky shit exploded out of the sides of his nappy and vest and all over my lap.
It's such a magical time.

You started her on season 7? Season 1! Season 1, fool!
This is like when people ask what episodes to watch to start on a show. Drives me insane. I always just say: "Start with episode 1. Then episode 2. And then each episode in order."

As it has annoyed you I am doubly convinced I made the best decision.
She now knows about the Orb of the Emissary, but not yet whether the Alliance will get a cloaking device!

But what if the first episode (or even season) is rubbish and you need to draw someone in first?

I was going to post with exactly the same example for myself! Our local WHS only had that one in paperback, just as it was released, so I snapped it up regardless of having not read part one. It was great, didn't bother me at all. (EDIT: I say WHS, it might still have been Preedy's at the time)

Yeah, I remember needing a book to read on holiday and saw that so just grabbed it. Can’t remember if it was from Smiths or John Menzies though....

Lots of trouble getting Naomi settled this evening but was nice to introduce her to many of you earlier. Yep, Scraplet’s been restless too the last couple of days - could be a growing spurt. Maybe. Sorry to have missed you - joined earlier and had to leave when we all got hungry. Another week! Once our protoforms are more reliably behaved and easier to wrangle. So in about 18 years’ time then.

Six poos in less than 24hrs. How is this possible??
Umbilical cord stump has finally come off.
Midwife back for third visit tomorrow for weight check as Naomi has not been gaining a lot of weight. We are feeding her slightly less now but more often. Which means waking her up at times. You can bet that goes down well.

That happened with us (almost a decade ago! but it seems like yesterday...) and I remember the woefully inconsistent advice we got from health visitors, midwives, et al. with some telling us to let the baby go with her instincts and feed when she needs to, and others wanting us to institute a strict regime of feeds every X hours.
All the conflicting, condescending, advice was probably the most stressful part for us.

We're feeding the Scraplet only when he's asking for it, based on the advice that we've been given so far. Although we do have to judge sometimes whether he's actually hungry or just restless, otherwise we end up covered in milky sick.
And yeah, six poos seem to be more than normal. Although yesterday the Scraplet went without pooing for a few changes, since he was clearly saving it up for release in the middle of the night, which necessitated a whole clothing change. Fun. But yeah, not to be worried about I don't think.
Hopefully Naomi will start putting some weight on soon.

The rules are-
THERE ARE NO RULES!
But if you feed them as much as you can you'll get to squeeze their fat bits sooner.
(seriously though, as long as some's going in they'll be fine. Just avoid dehydration.)

Squeezing fat bit is more likely to cause an incident at one or both eds of a baby.
If Shockprowl came on the TMUK Zoom call he could see the babies....
