All seems to be going well so far. 300 people in the twitch stream watching Ultimate Doom and Nick's doing his best under a barrage of requests to see toys in the Toy Fu twitch.

Very entertaining evening. Lovely mix of entertainment with a well conducted interview. The production values on the reading were fantastic, Andy. I really got the TFN vibe, surprisingly so. I'm quite sad I'm now not retiring to my room to read Matt's zine and the programme like usual with the promise of breakfast with chums and the dealers' room tomorrow.

Didnt get near TFN viewing sadly. Toy-Fu was overwhelmed in a way that was at once comfortingly familiar but also alien and scary. 5 solid hours processing orders with Andy B. I had Nicks stream on so I could listen just enough to know he was still talking and therefore alive.
Worst of all no time to eat so I missed Fridays Fishfinger Sandwhich.
gutted. Utter disater.

Good show. Missed 4ish to 6ish on Saturday due to a headache but caught most of Sat and all of Friday.
I stayed sober. Bloody headache!

If I can put it this way: it was a lot bloody better than it had any right to be. I always knew we were in good hands in person, and it’s good to see that that continues virtually as well. Laughs, tears, and good content all down the day.

Big Broadcast was amazing. Can't believe how good it was for being virtual; felt like I was there with everyone.
Sitting here full of great memories. Will definitely be attending next year's!

As an aside, part of what made it feel more like a 'real' con was having the Toy-Fu stream running as well. Something about seeing a toy stall in operation while con panels were running helped give it that convention atmosphere.

But yeah, the whole thing was just so good. Some fantastic content, some lovely surprises, and the feel of being at an actual convention. We don't deserve the TFN team, but I'm glad that we have them. |

In other news, Mrs Ralph says she will come with me to the 2021 event now she has 'met' folk here on zoom. She was a stage manager in theatre for 10 years with a degree background in it so will enjoy the actor talks and the like and will enjoy the bar scene. She'll be fine while I spend much of the time slaved to Toy-Fu.
