So it's a first look at a mass-retail release that we know is coming, and it doesn't share any parts with a figure that already came out.
Who do we know is imminent that hasn't been revealed already? BW Scorponok and Airazor, Earth Mode Magnus (but he probably shares parts with an Optimus) and Galvatron. Anyone else?
Feels like Galvatron would be the one Hasbro would pick for a meet and greet reveal, as was the original plan.

Nah. They'll just redeco Ectotron as the Ecto-1 from the new Ghostbusters film. It's a low-hanging fruit, and they'll go for it.
The question though, is it *just* Transformers x Ghostbusters, or Transformers *and* Transformers X Ghostbusters? Guess we'll find out tomorrow when it leaks.

Gah - don't get me excited with actual good stuff like this - they'll only disappoint with easy repaints. Although if they do repeat a Sharkticon as Slimer as someone did with a custom a short while back I'll not be disappointed. |

It's funny how many people are annoyed by Ectotron's size compared to Gigawatt. Given their vehicle modes they're not far off being in real-life scale with one another! It's Maverick who spoils it...
Ectotron would rip through Gigawatt like he was tin foil...

I'm sorry, a delorean would never fit into the back of a station wagon styled ambulance.
The irritation comes from the fact that Ectotron is MP scaled, and I don't care what the 3Ps think, the majority of collectors prefer normal scale.
I think if there was a set of 3.3/4" Ghostbusters to go with them, a lot more fans would be satisfied.
Not that there's a deluxe mold that could work for Ectotron without completely redesigning the character.

A Hoist repaint is certainly notable by its absence given the amount of reuse most moulds in the line have had. I mean, Trailbreaker obviously, but an actual repaint is weirdly missing. Got be a Lift Ticket somewhere.
