Opened up SS86 Ironhide last night - leaving aside the fact I'll have to get in touch with Pulse customer services as he has a prominent scratch on one side and a chip on one fist - he really is quite something! Some really neat engineering that makes for a solid feeling toy in both modes with no need for parts-forming.
Much as I'd prefer a yellow stripe and untinted windows (and those two little tabs on the roof are a bit untidy), he does look very good. An upgrade on Earthrise for me, and about on a par with Siege.

TWO Titans next year...
Magnus is getting almost as much exposure as Arcee at the moment. SG Grimlock, so I see that line continues. I'm not sure if I need another five of those. Grimlock's colour scheme is also dull. There's an opportunity there to do something like the black and purple Planet X one, but I bet they keep to the Botcon colours.

Well that'll certainly be an expensive year. If the movie's any good, that is. If not, a cheaper year. Can't say I'd be particularly fussed about the SS Magnus, unless it does something particularly special. But Armada Optimus may be the first commander I'll not be waiting for sales on. We've been waiting for that one for a while now...

Since then they've been focused on RotB. And the Gamer stuff Yup. There's SS86 in the summer Core & Voyager cases. What's surprised me is they haven't gone totally all in on ROTB at this time and there is other stuff, even a new subline, in the mix at the same time. |
