Was saying the other day how I regretted only getting one SS86 Sharkticon.... Am I allowed to confess that I have done a minor Pinwig and have two unopened TR Gnaws? They're tucked into the Quintesson Pit box with all the opened ones, the Legends one and the one from the Q Pit. I've also got a SS86 - really should have bought more - and a Cyberverse ....so this is good news though possibly not for me & Ralph's wallets

Given what seems to be the driving force behind the current line wouldn’t the deciding factor be cartoon scale, to the extent that’s possible?
I can’t quite visualize Wheelie in relation to other minibots in the cartoon, but I have a feeling he’s generally portrayed smaller, so the SS86 core release might be about the right size?
Of course when Missing Link Wheelie rolls around he’d better be the same size class as the other minibots...

Ultra Magnus - £92 Ratchet - £35 Frenzy - £12
Frenzy sold out already.

It's alright, he's on Star and ID at the moment too.
That Ratchet appeals a lot more than the Ironhide did, can't work out why.

Ratchet sold out on Pulse, too.

Hmm. Ironhide wasn't around long was he. Maybe this Ratchet is one to get now rather than later. Pity. Should have put him in the Frenzy order.

Pulse do restock most stuff, an expensive mainline toy like Magnus will be around when he comes out. Frenzy I was less sure of.

Went into Smyths on the way home tonight with the intention of getting Gamer Ed Bumblebee but came out with 86 Brawn. I'll keep him for Saturday to celebrate surviving the first week of school.

Brawn's got one heck of a transformation for a deluxe. It's taken me quite a while to wiggle all the tab slots into place so the wheels are all straight, but that's a nicely accurate vehicle mode. These deluxe minibots just get better and better.

Can the wheels roll in vehicle mode?

They can as long as you get them all straight.
Well, they roll about as well as any Generations TF with wheels does these days.
Which as we know is not particularly well.

What I'm not coping well with this afternoon is that with these newer figures, Huffer is now a bulkier/taller figure than Brawn. I realise on the Sunbow scale chart, Huffer and Brawn are the same size and a little taller than the other four, but this doesn't sit right with me. Kingdom Huffer doesn't feel like he fits with Brawn/Cliffjumper/Bumblebee.

I only mention Sunbow because obviously we know the designs lean toward that. But Huffer really sticks out. He isn't a Sunbow design and he doesn't look like the original either. He is much more in fitting with the Siege styles. I keep swapping my Mechanic Studio one in and out and I think that works better.

So I've been doing some posing. And afterwards I did some intensive comparisoning with the Mini-Autobots we have. And I know what you mean, Pins- Huffer does seem a bit out of aesthetic with Brawn, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. But, I've concluded that it's not too significant a difference and personally I'm ok with it. The offenders here are Cosmos and Beachcomber! Now I adore both figures, but put them with the members of the Six we have -and Warpath, who very much matches Huffer and the others- and they really do seem like they're from a different toy-line (which they obviously are but one would hope figures released this close together that are apparently meant to go together would be more similar). Cosmos and Beachcomber look like a third party company has enlarged the original mold. Just slightly, but they do. They're... smoother somehow. Yet they're superb figures! Brilliant updates of the originals, with tremendous personality. So it's not a deal breaker, and they go with Warpath adequately enough, but... it's a thing that there is. Brawn though is a high of 'updated minis'. With no shoulder injury in sight. ONWARDS, THE MINI-AUTOBOT ROAD! Edit: The Five did look and feel different from The Six back in the day, so maybe it'll be ok when the teams are complete. Maybe The Five should feel a bit different from The Six.

The five are definitely in an odd position. I need to pick up a Beachcomber now he's come down a bit but there's no doubt they're not being designed as companions to the six. They're a bigger bunch of bots.

They're grizzled veterans of four million years' worth of war on Cybertron, whilst the six took a nice nap - of course they're going to be a little beefier.

Maggie came today, and be warned, his horns come detached and in his accessory bag, and are very losable if you're not careful.
