Morning All
Happy Monday
Sunday. All OK till about tea time when something happened that completely derailed my head. Evening was spent with increasing doubt as to the cleanliness of my hands and what was & wasn't virus free. A real throw back. Struggled with my noise tolerances and people moving around me too. When I got into bed I was in pain in my legs, especially my left hip, and that's still there today. Feel tired this morning, may need a quiet day.
Shopping in this morning, visitor this afternoon, all being well. L planning visit to clothes shop Tuesday if my head can stretch that far.... and it is a bit of a stretch following Sunday.
So pray the head does better today, I cope with washing my hands less (sorry real back to basics stuff there again :-( ), the leg/hip/cmt pain improves, the day goes OK and we stay protected from the virus. Ta.
Have a good day and stay safe & well.

OU module result 4 (of 6) came in. Somehow, I scraped a Distinction this time. I genuinely have no idea how but I'll take it.
Very, very, very surprised.
Move from level 2 to 3 in September. Four years down on Degree, two to go.

Morning All
Tuesday. Again. According to Excel I've been home and not gone out for 17 weeks today. =(TODAY()-DATE(2020,3,23))/7
Monday was a bumpy ride. Question marks as to when the shopping would turn up - during J's recorder lesson - started the day. All still smooth at lunch, nice long sleep. Woke up c4pm.... and SOMETHING just wasn't right. Came downstairs for a bit but didn't feel right and when Liz's visitor arrived I went to go upstairs.... that took ten minutes (really must get the stair lift fixed) and I collapsed into bed again.... at which point the body siezed up and I lost the ability to speak. It happens from time time, CMT whacky grade ****. An hour plus later when I didn't come down for dinner when called Liz investigated and helped get me going again, but right the way through the evening I struggled physically and mentally. Had to get Liz to do the dialy call to Mum as I couldn't string the words together :-( Don't have a degenrative neuro mucscular condition kids, it does odd things and isn't fun!
And as if to underline the point.... up in the night, cramp in left leg round knee!
So today.... Liz aiming for a trip to a clothes shop firstthing while quiet. Not 100% happy about it but... In theory her day off but need to see how I go.
Pray boday, sinuses and head do better and we stay protected from the virus
Have a good day and stay safe & well.

Morning all - It's Wednesday
Yesterday - coped OK with Liz's trips out in the morning, especially when she hit the abort button on the clothes shopping because she wasn't happy. The news from Swindon's delivery office unnerved me slightly, but we isolate our post for three days anyway so that shouldn't represent a problem for us. More worried for the postal staff there I'm on good terms with. Head wobbled with some unrelated stuff during the afternoon.
Physically better, but lost count of the number of times I steamed myself. Some background aches still.
Today: Liz has a visitor in the garden this afternoon, if all is well, and Homegroup tonight via zoom.
Pray sinuses improve, CMT behaves, aches & pains die down, head stay straight, I avoid stuff that will trip it up and we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day and stay safe & well.

Last day of the weirdest school year ever done and dusted. Another class dispatched to bright and bountiful futures. I think a four day weekend is in order to see if I can return to a point where it's possible to speak in coherent sentences and then assess what needs doing for September on Monday.

Mostly in bed today to see if complete rest helps the foot. If no improvement it will be 3rd time lucky at getting a GP to look at it properly...

Currently in the middle of a short, cheap, within-Germany holiday as mandated by Current Circumstances. It’s been really unexpectedly good - mostly hiking in The Harz, all woodland and mountains and babbling streams. The young ‘un has really taken to it as well.
Realized it’s now almost exactly a year since I last set foot in the UK, and I don’t look likely to be back any time soon : (

Morning All
Thursday. Forgot to look or a new HHGTTG quote so obviously still can't get the hang of them. Sorry.
Wednesday: OK, lots going on round me, Liz had a very busy day. J cooked Curry with Rice for dinner.
Today: the big stretch for today is Liz collecting the shopping, with J doing the carrying. Drive through click and collect at the Orbital ASDA. Our usual collector, who we are much indebited to, is busy this week so it's an ideal point to try this one. I've got a parcel due to come out of quarentine today.
CMT was a bit rough yesterday, ended up with leg brace on at one point to help right foot. Shoud wear them more often even if not outside. Sinuses better, till evening. Had another patch of dodgy speach during Homegroup too, not great.
So for today pray CMT & Sinuses play nicely, the shopping collect & carrying in goes OK and we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day and stay safe & well

Took me a while to figure out pain that came on yesterday may be a reaction from Naproxen so booked a call from surgery to discuss it later. Not sure if it's that or my chest flaring up again, which would be odd as I literally spent almost all of yesterday lying in bed!
Lack of mobility of late due to different pain issues means the lockdown belly is getting quite noticeable: proper gut hanging over my belt now. Not being active is really getting me down.
Radio silence continues from work, which is good as I am not physically capable currently! Did hear from a colleague whose contract has come to an end and not been renewed so has left.

Actually got a call from a real GP. Alas, it was the usual script of me telling them what is wrong, being completely ignored and not listened to. This one was especially poor. They clearly were just not listening to a word I said and were not in the least bit interested! They couldn't get off the phone quick enough! The call lasted 4 minutes and 23 seconds. That includes me stopping them from hanging up the first time so I could ask something about an issue they had ignored. I had an important medication question to ask but was hung up on before I could ask it.
Fuck sakes! Absolutely raging. I don't expect instant answers but I can tell the difference between someone who is trying and someone who doesn't care. I would put in a complaint but I learned last year that if you do that with the NHS a Practice Manager will phone you and threaten you with their lawyers, which frightened the absolute shit out of me. I don't need that stress again.
Thankfully, I am registering with a surgery with a good reputation in September after I move.

Not great tonight physically - odd sinus stuff in cheeks, neck and throat - or mentally - a fumble with a parcel (Doubledealer unexpectedly arriving) set my head off on a path which has gone down hill badly. Really not good tonight

Still only about half the people in Sainsbury's today were wearing masks. I really feel for the shop staff who are going to have to deal with the resistance and arguing tomorrow.

Morning All
It's Friday ! (It's Five to five, it's....)
Thursday: not good mentally or for the sinuses. Food collection and in went OK, but I had to bring a parcel in which, thanks to a fumble moving it, sowed some seeds of doubt in my head which grew as the day went on. An attempt to chalenge them head on by opening another parcel didn't go well. It didn't help that the sinuses were doing odd stuff, lots of pain round my cheeks, jaw and neck - at one stage it felt like I had a strap round my throat. Bit of sweating too round my head, not fun. Then something happened in the evening which really didn't help my head
Friday - don't think there's much planned. Which is good cos I feel rubbish physically and mentally this morning.
Pray day goes better and sinuses and head improve. Ta!
Have a good day and stay safe and well.

As no GP wants to help me re: chest I have found the video the physio sent me a couple of months ago so will try those excercises today. Pain is intense and continuous.
Moved to ibuprofen gel for the foot. See if that helps. Three GP consultations of 'we don't care' already done for that.
Being cooped up for hours each day on my own with no exercise is driving me mad. Poor Jen gets jumped on as soon as she comes through the door after being out.
Jen is having to do the food shopping on her own today (I did it for first three months of lockdown then we have done smaller joint expeditions) as I can't get out the front door. I hope every fucker* in Asdaland wears masks.

*Unless there is a medical reason they can't, of course.

I hope its just idiots mouthing off, but I suspect the government are going to have to toughen up their mask stance if its going to have any affect.
Nobody is going to enforce the current policy.

Sent a message to Physio asking for help re: foot pain. Chest pain halved already having started the exercises to work on the nerve from the other month. Better than the idiot yesterday who wouldn't listen to me when I told her I already had a diagnosis and told me to call 999 if it gets a bit sore!

I think I said before, whenever I've had joint or muscle pain in the past, even debilitating to the point I couldn't move, exercise has been the key to solving it. That and weight control, but then that isn't an issue in your case.

Post by The Doctor on Jul 24, 2020 14:02:41 GMT
Ah well weight has become an issue as I had put a bit on with over eating and less exercise in first 3 months of Lockdown and more since I have been mostly housebound except when Jen gets me out in the car. Proper gut hanging over the belt now and knee is also a bit sore.
I've given up on asking GP's for help. Will see what Physio says. He's never let me down. Got a video chat booked for the 3rd.
