Oh don't tell such lies. Burns has been seeing TMUK member clones for donkey's years and so have I and others. Your logic is faulty, in that some of those clones have been older versions of chums and so clearly from the future, which means all of them might be, and so the cloning has yet to occur! Yes, I'd forgotten what else M was up to in his cellar.....

I don't have a one. I have a garden shed full of boxes big enough to fit a Titan in.

Have you got a box big enough to fit a Ralph in? He could pack himself and not have to lift anything.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday!
Yesterday: You know I said it would be quiet? Our Survey said.... By 10am I'd already sorted my Sister In Law's laptop out and I don't think we stopped during the morning. Liz didn't get much of a day off for various reasons so might have another go later in the week. Head better, struggling in some small places though. Sinuses still painful, couple of hot flushed cheeks, not had that for a bit.
Today: HOPEFULLY quieter. Home Group via Zoom tonight but J also has something on Zoom at the same time so we may need to dive out early if the interweb struggles.
Pray Sinuses improve, head continues to improve and CMT stays OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Vast majority of packing now done. Knackered. Not much more can be done until we know the moving date and we still need clothing to wear and crockery to eat off, etc. Wanted it all done now so I can rest my feet/chest before being forced back to work.

Well, er, no call from work. Maybe I was meant to phone them? Not sure. I was that wound up waiting for it I was hardly out the loo.
Horrible bloated feeling all day, no burping will help. Ugh.
There was some mild excitement in the evening when I very slowly walked the short distance to Asdaland for Gavison and found Super Mario Oreos. I then had to frantically go find a member of staff and apologise when I accidentally dropped the Gavison bottle in the toy aisle and it smashed into a million shards.

Argh! Just after I typed that got shooting pain in right leg extensor tendon. The short excursion may have been a mistake. May need to phone work and say I'm not fit for Monday -Ralph

Morning All!
It's Thursday. On This particular Thursday...
Yesterday: The big news was the ride out in the car and, while we were out, an opportunity to talk to a couple of friends in the flesh who were outside their house as we went by! In the car was fine, getting to and from the car was the head stretch which was possibly a stretch too far, head struggled for the rest of day really not processing that well by the end of it. I need some quiet, stress free, non stretchy days. Sinuses up and down, some warm cheek again.
Today: Shopping in, there's a joy. I'm telling myself we've done it loads and it'll be fine. Not off to the best of starts with a couple of tiny things shaking me head. But we have (FINALLY) got the soap in the shop!
Pray Sinuses & Head improve and the CMT stays OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

After last night, realised I am not yet physically able for work yet so phoned GP surgery to ask how to obtain a sick note. I was initially point-blank refused this and had to repeatedly insist that I needed one and evidence should be in my notes. Told there was nothing there regarding my face-to-face physio appt when tendonitis was confirmed! FFS! Eventually, I managed to persuade reception to make an enquiry with the GP. Will get a call back this afternoon as to whether they will or won't do it. If they say no, I'll just have to self-cert but my big worry is that I am coming back after 4 months furlough. It will look dodgy if I don't have a note.

I was very wound up and stressed by the aggressive attitude from reception this morning at the surgery and couldn't concentrate on anything. Afternoon came and went with no call so phoned back of 5pm and thankfully they have now agreed to a sick note for next week. Hopefully that will give my feet time to heal enough that I can get about.
Manager pinged me an email at mid-day saying she would need to speak HR then heard nothing else. Couldn't get a hold of them on the phone. Feel so much better having a line to prove I am not well though so hopefully can get it sorted asap at work in the morning.
VERY horrible and stressful day. Really taken it out of me. Let's hope contact with work tomorrow is quick, easy and congenial.

Morning All!
IT'S FRIDAY
Yesterday: A bad day for the head, possibly worse than Monday and Monday Wanged Chung! Woke at 4:30, scratched my itchy upper lip and thought "was that hand clean?" It downhill from there, losing confidence as I went, making small mistakes, dropping things, having to deal with several sets of deliveries plus the food arriving, which was a stroll in the park compared to the rest of the day. By lunch my head was so far gone it was untrue. Thankfully I went off to sleep quickly in the afternoon and the brain fired better as we went into the evening. But I'd prefer not to go through that again.
Sinuses were not fun, but background to the head not coping. Interesting both have been bad this week, as have my ears, slight pain in both.
Today: I have no idea. Takeaway sausage and chips for lunch if all is well. J has a youth Zoom thing tonight.
Pray Friday goes better than Thursday. Pray Head & Sinuses improve and the CMT is OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day - stay safe & well!

FINALLY got hold of someone at 1:30pm.
The stress was caused by the very clear sickness policy. It is not acceptable to report sickness by text, email or voicemail. It MUST be face to face or phone chat. Failure to do so is a disciplinary offence falling under gross misconduct and potential dismissal. So unless I had spoken to someone today the company would have had the right as per their procedures and contract to fire me next week if I hadn't turned up. I'm not going to say more on a public forum.
While the job goes away in December I am relying on the income. Not many other jobs going right now.

As long as you were phoning from a mobile so could prove you spent most of the day trying to contact them I imagine you would have had a decent defense for any claims made against you, but yeah better to have finally got through to someone.
I had a similar issue at one point my union rep recommended as well as keeping record of attempted calls to send a text to anyone above you explaining you had tried calling and would not be at work. Ditto any email addresses you have. Not ideal but at some point if your managers aren't responding its not your fault and theres nothing much else you can do.

Looks like the main bit of the house move will be August 29th. Wooo. Clean the flat the day after, hand over the keys and I will be free of Drug Wars Land and the neighbouring Mega-City One.
Then I live in semi-rural Wicker Man Land. The drop box is already set up to receive the first new Transformer there next week (Selects Hubcap).
We move the first load of comics and Transformers over tomorrow morning.

Don't leave them there unguarded. Next time you go back they may not be there. I'd advise some fringe toys first, stuff you can risk losing.
...
I am now stuck trying to think of fringe, disposable Transformers. What have we all got tucked away that doesn't actually matter? Umm... All those T30 figures that have been replaced with better ones?

Morning All!
This Is Saturday - Watch And Smile
Yesterday: Much MUCH better day. Head coped OK and the wobbles were minor
Today: Woken a bit achy. Liz is out the house during the day for the next three days so J and I home alone for most of the daytime. Worry! We are also expecting our House Guests to arrive tomorrow evening.... or should I say Hutch Guests? Our rabbit run & hutch, vacant for nearly 2 years since that dreadful weekend in Nov 18, is playing hosts to two of Liz' friend's rabbits! TMUK Zoom Call tonight from 6, looking forward to talking robots with the chums.
Pray Sinuses improve, and the head & CMT stay OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.
