CAT walks to position himself such that KRYTEN is between himself and the hole.
KRYTEN walks to the hanging debris, sharp metal protrudes from broken stonework, wires hanging down from the hole in colours of red, green, blue, white and black. A metal rod hangs loosely.
KRYTEN +1 point
LISTER gives a nod in agreement to KRYTEN as he readies his Bazookoid. "Whatever smeg is coming out of that hole, we'll be ready!" The scraping continues as the pedestal rises ominously into view, revealing some kind of leathery egg with a cross on its top, almost translucent at its side. You see something twitch inside as if becoming aware of the presence of others as it rises slowly into view.
Whilst this is occurring, SHOCKPROWL begins wandering around the room looking for an exit with no real direction. He hovers near the door, circles around before his attention is grabbed by the hole in the floor, moving in for a closer look.

WORRY about confusingly coloured wires.
SUGGEST Mr Lister fires at the egg.
*I wouldn't mind betting even if we do have something that will destroy the egg, it will be replaced with another. We either need to stop the pedestal moving or get out of the room*

The scraping continues as the pedestal rises to full height. LISTER takes aim with his Bazookoid, firing a blast of concentrated energy towards the egg.

I think I'm going to adopt # as a prefix for lines when I'm talking out of character.
#I like the RPG elements we've got going here now!
#The POI went down one when the egg exploded, so I'm guessing we can interact with it, which suggests another one is going to pop up before long. We still have four POI in here we haven't interacted with. Probably the door, the camera, the pedestal and maybe the dangly wires.
Well done Mr Lister sir! All that practice during Bazookoid darts night on the observation deck has really paid off! I fear we may see another of those eggs though, how many charges do you have left?

Bits of the egg fall to the floor emitting a slight hissing as small bubbles form as the internal fluids seem to burn the surface slightly, but to no serious effect.
SHOCKPROWL moves to the corner, putting little effort into avoiding the acidic organic shrapnel. Meanwhile, CAT distracted by a slight reflection of himself in the metallic surface that surrounds them failed to notice that KRYTEN has since moved to the edge of the room to examine the debris.
SHOCKPROWL RAND5 for danger, failure on 1-3.
RAND5 = 2, failure!
SHOCKPROWL -2 stamina
CAT RAND5 for danger, failure on 1.
RAND5 = 4, safe!
KRYTEN moves to investigate the camera. There's a small LED on the top that isn't illuminated. Behind the camera, two plug in wires are attached to the wall, one (grey) hangs loose, the other (purple) is connected to the camera itself.
KRYTEN +1 point
KRYTEN moves to investigate the door. It is inset into the wall and doesn't seem to have any handles or opening mechanisms. A small dirty window adorns it.

PLUG grey wire into back of camera
SAY Sirs, what are we thinking here at the moment? I'm no artist, but if I might Picasso it up for a moment, blue and red make purple and black and white make grey, so if we touch those pairings together up there, will it make the camera's two work? I'm not sure we want to be seen in here, but that door looks pretty firm and we need to be on the other side of it before another one of those eggs appears.

I think we're on: I can add them from the start of a location, but I think that if they haven't been mentioned in text yet, this could leave you scratching your head trying to figure out what they are. I also don't want to explicitly call out what's been added as it will remove some of the investigation/interpretation puzzles. I could note which POIs have been removed though when you interact with them? (Maybe mark them caps or something?) |

KRYTEN, unable to resist his natural inclinations, gives the dirty WINDOW a bit of elbow grease. It gives slightly under the pressure as he does so, but unfortunately the dirt is too heavy obscuring the view. Disappointed by this, his attention is redirected to the WIRES hanging from the debris. They aren't very long, dangling just in reach. This shift of attention to wires has really stimulated his Mechanoid brain... More wires he thinks, I must engage with more wires! He moves to be under the security camera, reaches up to the GREY WIRE to try to plug it into the back of the camera, but the camera is out of reach.
LISTER uses RALLY.
All characters get +2 on their next skill or danger check.
Ability can not be used again until all characters have used their bonus.

SHOCKPROWL is unmoved by LISTER's Boys From The Dwarf speech and stays in the corner. RIMMER looks unimpressed.
"Wow, as if I didn't think our party could get any sadder." he states venomously. "All we do is pick up one useless stray after another. First we find the Cat, then we pick up this saddo mechanoid who all he wants to do is Lister's crusty laundry all day and now this gimboid. We really need to reconsider our hiring policies Listy."
LISTER shakes his head. "Don't worry Kryte's, I'll give you a hand." He moves to KRYTEN who leans forwards slightly to provide some kind of solid base for which to climb on. LISTER starts to try to climb.
LISTER Agility (5) skill check difficulty 21, for climbing.
RAND20 = 16 + RALLY 2, 18 + 5 >= 21, Success!
KRYTEN Strength (8) skill check difficulty 18, for holding LISTER.
RAND20 = 20 + RALLY 2, 22 + 8 >= 18, Success!
RALLY reset on CAT, RIMMER, SHOCKPROWL skill checks.
With some maneuvering, LISTER manages to climb atop KRYTEN's shoulders. His mechanoid frame holding strong under LISTER's curry induced physique. LISTER looks at the back of the camera to see that there is indeed a spare socket for the loose wire but it appears damaged, the camera is also still just out of reach. The cable wall sockets however are slightly lower and within LISTER's reach.
