Lots of people are suddenly selling POTP Dinobots :-D. If things get cheap enough I may realise my vision of a full set of Dinos, A full set of robots and a Volcanicus. Nice. I will have a look. Wouldn't mind completing mine if they are going cheap.

Holding out to see how the rumoured Studio Series ones look, but I am sorely tempted by this set. Though if the originals are going cheap then I might just pick them up.

Yeah... someone I saw on an FB group yesterday was trying to get £190 for the full set of PottoP Dinobots. I mean, nice try...

I saw that as well, hahahaha. There is a complete set with upgrade currently at £50 on eBay, one normal at about £70 to sell on FB and I think we will see more.

Wouldn't mind completing mine if they are going cheap. I think the problem is people are selling sets, the ones you've got are cheap and the ones you need are the ones there's demand for.

I seem to be the only person on Earth who thinks the POTP Dinobots are fantastic. Shinier ones would usually tempt me but not at that price, especially as I would never combine them. -Ralph I love mine - I've bought two POTP sets so far and this will be my third go. There's some clever stuff going on on two of them with the CW ports replacing the Diaclone cockpits which helps a lot.

I...can't see the difference. -Ralph His paint apps and plastic colors are brighter, paint apps have significantly less detail to be more cartoon accurate (they're now just colored squares and lines). As said above, eyes are now blue.

Gold chest is now solid gold rather than translucent too.

The chest is better, but I like g1 style sticker detailing over Takaras cartoon look.
Certainly not worth upgrading.

Damn, I keep forgetting how almost all of them have some weird deformed element. Slags tucked in dino head just looks stupid and seems entirely a choice by the designer.

It isn't tucked in though. It's almost ALWAYS mistransformed like in these and other official pictures. Correctly transforming it isn't great, but it is a significant improvement. I've said before, it's really hard to screw up a ceratopsian. Slag really needed a bigger crest, though. That's the big issue he has.

I was completely unaware of that, so I just found mine and gave it a go. Still not exactly a great toy, but definitely an improvement!

the new one definitely pops more, but the very concept of the Dinobots combining is just not for me...

I'm not the biggest fan of Dinobots combining either but i think it's the waist I dislike the most. It's too thin

I'm not the biggest fan of Dinobots combining either but i think it's the waist I dislike the most. It's too thin I downright hate the concept of the dinobots combining. Though it doesn't bother me as much in a setting where everyone is a combiner, like CW. I'm also not above some originality in shapes in new combiners. But if you're going to make a combiner out of the G1 Dinobots, this tiny waist is not a good shape for them. I do think the way it sets in place that it was intentional. If I remember correctly, it's pretty secure. I think if it were just a byproduct of the way the head moves to combine, it'd just kinda rest there floppy.
