Annoying that it doesn't tell you until you're a few steps into the checkout! There was no warning on the book page itself when I looked.

The pages feel a little all over the place, but I can see the page numbers are in the high 2/low 3 hundreds* so I'm guessing these are more feature pages at the back and the bulk of the book is more a chronological layout ala the original Generations
* Don't put too much stock on the page numbers, one set here is repeated - 302 & 303
I've always counted RiD/CR in with the BW toys. Hoping they'll cover Universe 1 here as well..... and that there's a Unicron Trilogy book not far in the future!

Wait. Wait. Wait. How can Car Robots be part of Beast Wars? -Ralph It's not about story continuity, it's about toy design and engineering. The (new) CW/RiD toys use the same design principles as BW, BWN, and BM, and have more in common with BWN than with any other era before and since. They're Beast Era, and I feel like I've always been in the minority for counting it as such. Thus why I feel vindicated.

The description on HLJ says
"Introduces successive domestic and foreign items developed from "Beast Wars," from 1997 through the new series in 2004."

I usually get all the Generations books but financial issues mean I have to skip this one, alas, but I look forward to hearing what it is like.

Yes... I have just discovered that too.
I think it was topped earlier this morning when another company wanted $42 dollars to post me a $10 thing made out of one sheet of card.

£30.02 on the card from HLJ this morning And £13 ****ing 56 to post it to me! Yeah, this is why I do group orders on these books. Was about £35 shipping for 8 books. Only problem is getting books to people as we can't have pub meets at the moment.

Does this then take the spot of the usual yearly Generations release that covers that year's toys? Or will that come separately, and later than usual?

Not a clue, but no sign of the annual Generations book as yet

Then given the cost of shipping, I will just keep it in my private warehouse and hope something comes up in the next 90 days!

Mine are currently in Belgium, should hopefully have in hand on Monday.
I wonder if they'll do a Deluxe version a few years down the line with added design stuff.

I don't think I'll regret my purchase, but oooff, it was expensive. Got a lot of good use and pleasure out of my original Generations though and expect the same here.
