Legacy Wave 4: October 2024 Only just hit me.... She's going to be a reuse of Windblade isn't she?

Why Windblade? Could it not be a reuse of any jet mould? Or entirely new?

It could.... but Windblade is another female jet, and she doesn't have a reuse yet
I think Needlenose is the only other recent Deluxe jet: he does have a reuse and is further away from Slipstream
Aerialbots coming but can't see it

I pretty much assumed Windblade retool at best. Though given how little effort they've put into Cyberverse, a straight repaint with a new head is more likely.
Honestly, there are basically two options. 1. Windblade reuse, as she's the only deluxe jet since Titans Return (PotP Darkwing and Dreadwind are just retools of the two CW jets, so I count them as such) Or 2. New mold that's intended for something else.

Yeah the care/effort later than Unicron Trilogy/Animated is showing a bit, especially with Cyberverse. I'm surprised my head didn't make the Windblade/Slipstream leak sooner.

Wasn't the first general release Slipstream toy (i.e not counting the Botcon exclusive one) a Windblade redeco? Given their stated approach of "g1-iffying" (whatever the heck that means) characters from other shows there would be some logic to them choosing the Windblade mould as a basis.
It's not what I want them to do - I'd rather they did a new mould something more like the weird F-16XL/F-22 hybrid thing that they did for her Cyberverse Warrior and Scout class toys. But I'm odd that way.

I had completely forgotten about that! You're right, she was, in the Japanese Legends toyline tfwiki.net/wiki/Slipstream_(G1)#Legends

Devastation was a game, so I assume that's next on the SS list. Bullseye will be Target, yes?

Yeah all the Target listings have the word Bullseye in so I think that's branding/store rather than a toy called Bullseye.
The Amazon listings similarly all say Smile

Hoping Spinister vs Twintwist is a straight reissue of the mainline deluxes. Amazon has had a recoloured Wreckers TwinTwist already so assuming this one is normal colours? All over Ironfist vs Carnviac!

I cannot think of a deluxe from the last few years that could even vaguely pass as Cybertron Sideways. So he's either a *heavy* retool, based on something currently unknown, or will be wildly wrong.

There is the possibility that Cybertron is just the theme, while not all in the line match. I mean not all the velocitron releases were race cars. Not all of the Cancelled G2 line were G2.
Sideways might be Armada Sideways repainted from Prowl or Crashbar, while Skywarp might be Armada Skywarp from Armadascream

Lots to take in here!
I am also hoping that Spinister vs Twin Twist is a straight reissue, even if I already have Spinister and recently acquired Legends Twin Twist. I'd sell the latter on in favour of the TR colours in a heartbeat.
After getting Cybertron Starscream and the reveal of Hot Shot I am now all in on the Cybertron homages! Vector Prime looks fine to me.
I am softening a lot on the Infernac toys, and Magneous here is contributing to that. They're adding a bit of spice to the Generations line.

I'm mostly annoyed by these listings because it means that a) we have to wait until next year to get Ramhorn, and b) I'll need to buy a whole-ass Studio Series Perceptor that I don't want in order to get him. (No, not getting the set is not an option - the Conjunx is too much a fan of Blaster and his cassettes to do that.)
I was also confused as to why if we're getting Hot Shot next year what the difference would be with the release next year, given that's just the Japanese name for him. Except I was getting confused between Exillion (the Japanese name for Hot Shot) and Excellion (the red repaint of Hot Shot/Exillion in Hot Rod-esque colours), so that makes a little more sense.
But I will have to get that Ironfist and Carnivac set. Here's hoping they're both suitable Roche-esque.
