Morning All!
It's Monday. AGAIN
Yesterday: Surprisingly difficult. Church wore me out, as it frequently does just from concentrating that long. Made a couple of tech and timing mistakes in service - apologies. Something else happened that poked a button for me and I could have done with a nice long sleep.... but the door kept going. So late afternoon and early evening was spent in front of the TV. Tweaked the DVD shelves so now have my BDs out. Phil needs more shelves. Physically not a great day. Mentally OK in terms of coping. Sinuses surprisingly good - laughing while drinking, and then having camomile tea come out my nose Saturday night seems to have done them some good!
3am before I got off to sleep this morning - tummy, pain and brain not turning off - and awake at 6:45. Today might be fun!
Today: 2 x Prayer Meetings, J Recorder Lesson. Liz fetching new chair. Hopefully Beast Wars Generations will show up. Pizza for lunch, end of term Chinese for tea.
Pray Day goes OK, CMT improves and Sinuses & Head copes OK. Pray I cope with what little sleep I've had and I sleep better tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday
Yesterday: Not great. Physically a struggle which I only got through thanks to a quantity of orange juice at breakfast and a period where I just stopped for a contemplative prayer session. Even so I had a HUGE fall at lunch and tnhat was effectively that. Slept for 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon and never really got going again. The news about London going Tier 3 is worrying as we're meant to be going there next week.
Today: J out for breakfast then ARC cooking group. L out for walk with sister. J out at ASD group tonight. Church evening Prayer Meeting from 8.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope with the day. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

I know what you mean: re London. I had been pinning my hopes all year in things relaxing so I could see my folks at Chrimbo, having not seen them since February. They're not super computer literate so we've only managed one brief Skype call. The Chrimbo relaxation was announced so we decided to go see them. I had planned to self-isolate for a week before and Jen wears PPE at all times at work and we were going to avoid shops for a week before going. Would have been driving to avoid public transport so going door to door other than loo breaks. Couldn't think of a safer way to do it, but my folks said no. I was extremely upset at the time but on reflection realised they made the right call what with how the current virus situation is and with vaccinations having literally started. We'll do Christmas at a later date.
Hard as it is, I think everyone should (if they can) stay where they are at Chrimbo. Vaccines are coming.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday
Yesterday: Better than Monday, thanks to a really good night's sleep.... until I started falling over. 2 nasty falls duing the day , evening was physically challenging :-( But got to do some fun tech stuff in the day inc a bit of YouTube -> MP3 conversion and then some manipulation of the MP3 file.... Been a LONG time since I used MP3 Direct Cut.... so long that it wasn't on my current machine! And when it was it took a few goes to remember how to fade a track right! Bit of Epic fun during the day - a potential map for Rom IF that ever gets done, cracked the contents for Wolverine 3 & 4 and worked out how much of Acts of Vengeance is in Epics.
3rd fall in Kitchen just before bed. Awake till 2am, pain :-( Body very sluggish today.
Today: Leading Prayer Meeting at 8am. L (walking with friend) and J (ARC) out this morning AGAIN. Pizza lunch, Curry dinner, Food order in, Homegroup tonight which hopefully I'll last a bit longer in than the last few weeks.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses & CMT improve and Head copes OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

MP3 Direct Cut! Yes. Every time I have course to go back to that it's been so long I can't remember how to use it either. Not the friendliest interface.

Morning All!
It's Thursday. From the evidence of last week, I'm still not got the hang of Thursdays.
Yesterday: A physical fight from start to finish. Two hours off the start of the night, rolled my ankle early in the day without falling and just struggled all day thanks to that and the weather. But that meant I had an early bath pre homegroup which coupled with an early kick off meant I managed it all, Thank You Lord.
On this particular Thursday however: Shopping coming in, bins going out and very little else I hope! Hopefully my BW Generations might show up.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses - which are a bit fun & CMT improve and Head copes OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Email saying there has been an "adjustment" to council tax. Shit myself due to lack of income. Go to Council website. Their server is down.

Are you sure it is a genuine email? Did you click a link in it or go to the Council's website? www.tameside.gov.uk/ is running fine for me.

I went straight to the website. The front page is working but the 'self-service' area you need to access for CT, etc displays a server error message.

Jen's local church had their Chrimbo carol service on zoom last night. Around 20 mins in they attempted to stage the Nativity in a playlet. Funniest 10 mins I have seen in a long time as it all went a bit wrong. Many missed cues and attempts at acting. Imagine Acorn Antiques meets Nativity. It was great. I am still chortling. It wasn't meant to be funny but by jove did I almost ended myself watching. I watched it three times again this morning.

I have survived a term in which my school scored 0 on positive covid cases. If sanitising hands, children, tables, equipment, anything moving in the building, was an olympic sport, I would be GOLD standard. Because I am a benevolent dictator, I allowed my class to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol this morning.

Last day in the office today until after Christmas.
As far as I know, there have been no Covid cases in our office, but as it's operating at less than 10% occupancy and many of the people in it are there because they have very little human contact outside work, that's not as great an achievement as Pinwig and his school.
Will go into personal lockdown from now until Dad comes on Christmas Eve.

I have been planning on visiting my parents on Christmas but all the news has me rattled now. As I am mostly home based there is a low chance of catching anything but it is not non zero :/

Our plan as it stands is up to Kingston Weds to stay with my Mum till Boxing Day.
She is 80, confined to a wheelchair post stroke and has carers in 4 times a day.
I am considered clinically vulnerable and shielded on Government advice
I'm having second thoughts but there may be some political fall out if we back out now.....

Keep an eye on the news today. There's talk of possible new travel restrictions for London and some reports the Oxford vaccine may be approved 28th/29th December (Telegraph).
Personally, I would advise against you going and for doing 'Christmas' at a later date. You and your mum will be high up the list for vaccination so are likely to get it sooner rather than later. Better to have some tough chats than to be at risk this close to the finishing line.
