Yep. That was my day yesterday. Was on a call at work, got off the call, saw that ID had it in, went to the site, sold out. Then in the evening we went out to do the weekly shop, got home, saw that Kapow had had it in, went to the site, sold out. I am destined not to have this set. It's punishment for swithering when it was first available...

How dare any of us go offline for even a SECOND?
Agh, after the 2020 Exclusives Apocalypse, I lost my taste for such nonsense. I am no longer bothered if something sells out in minutes while I am otherwise occupied.

I managed to get one from Kapow, but before I did I messaged ID on FB about its availability and they said it would be both available online again but also that they were holding some for TFN.

No guarantee there though because of the early entry ticket. Anything desirable and in short supply will go in the first hour.

I'd forgotten about that. Ah. That shows a possible flaw in my "wait until TFN" strategy for some items...

Coo, I'm only missing two of them.
Does confirm that the Goldbugs have different heads, which is kinda mad.

I'm going for same head but with different amounts of the nose and faceplate painted which makes it look different.

I'm convinced he's got a different mouthplate altogether! Could be just the paint, I suppose... but I want to be right!

I have it in hand and think it's the same.
Which two you missing?

Cosmos is going attract the attention but I'm really liking Override. Some interesting stuff going on there

I have it in hand and think it's the same. Which two you missing? Studio Series Cliffjumper and normal Goldbug. One I'm not convinced I need, the other is too rich for my blood.

Is it that SG Goldbug only has silver paint on the centre of the mouthplate, but BB Goldbug has silver paint across the side parts, too? I think that's what gives the BB version a different - and correct! - look.

From the wiki entry:
So, it's the same head as SG, but they had to use the neck parts from cliffjumper version to make it work on the vw version.

I shall have the creatures collide set, terrorsaur, and dinobot tomorrow!
Now Cosmos and Minerva are the only two left unsecured.

I picked up my guys today. Not yet opened, but in hand, Dinobot doesn't look quite so... Slavic. I'm slightly disappointed.
I realized something truly evil Hasbro could have done, but didn't. They could have given a second head for Goldbug, based on the Bumblebee toy, decoed in the same gold as goldbug, to make a G2 Bumblebee stand in.
It would effectively make some people (like me) want two of them. It would be the only toy based Bumblebee head, and it would not be in the color most people would want (to either match netflix bee, or the previous worlds collide bee)

Okay, I gots them all open!
I forgot how big the kickback mold actually is. For the Creatures Collide set, there's not really any surprises (unless you're like me and forgot the kickback mold is a giant deluxe). Everything is pretty much what you expect it to be.
If you like Ransack in pictures, you'll love him. If you think he just looks like a wrong colored kickback, then he'll continue looking that way. Skywasp is best looking version of this mold, but it's still one of the weakest Kingdom molds, and unlike Buzzsaw, doesn't offer anything you can't get from Timelines Skywasp, aside from being able to choose a different head. Scorponok is great, and offers a great alternative if you didn't like the mainframe based Kingdom deco. It's actually better than it should be. And Goldbug is exactly what you'd expect and want. It's as good as a Goldbug toy can get without being a new mold.
Dinobot seems to get right almost everything Grimlock got wrong. Like Scorponok, it's better than it should be. I don't like it better than the mainframe deco, but in hand it twigs the nostalgia factor.
Terrorsaur falls into this same category. It's not completely toy accurate, but it works really well, and is a great alternative if you don't like the mainframe decoed Terrorsaur.

I love the original toy head, so to have a version that could fit on this toy - especially in G2 colours - would have been wonderful. Maybe they'll do it yet. I doubt it, but you never know these days...
