Oh I love BW, but I knew these new figures would be let downs compared to the originals. I've only had Skywarp in hand before I punted it off to Shockers but felt no compulsion to keep it at all. They just don't do anything the originals don't do better. I've looked at them in Smyths and thought, I'd rather spend the money on the basics and deluxes I'm missing from the originals.

I think after the last few years I've just reached saturation point with Generations. What I wanted from that line was articulated in scale updates of all the G1 characters, which we've pretty much got now more or less. I've found it hard to get excited by anything else and have made peace with myself that I don't need to own absolutely everything to be happy, which it has to be said took some doing. I've spent £500 this year on G1 and RID and those toys have given me much more pleasure.

Yeah, I'm happy to be in a place where I don't need everything. The Exclusive Apocalypse of 2020 really stirred up some FOMO in me and it's taken until my underwhelming response to Artfire for me to realise that's not how I enjoy this hobby. It may not look it, but there is a definite slowdown in my purchasing.

I'm happy to just dip in and fill gaps now. I don't need everything.

I too have recently realised I want to buy less TF's going. Less stuff, but more focussed and I want to build up a really good comic collected edition library so need space for that.
