Or it is individual robots....? PHIIIIL! WHAT ARE THE RULES HERE?!It's robots by Phil's rule, where the robot is a complete unit. So yes to individual Micromasters in two packs, but no to itchy head men from Headmaster figures.

The title of the thread, is "How Many Transformers". Ergo, Individual toys from any part of the Transformers Universe. That was my take.
Sparkplug, Spike and Daniel don't count unless they transform..... or do they?.....
Also:
37. Generations Thundercracker 38. Generations Nightbeat 39. Generations Springer
This was a trade so still have money for Superion if my Inner Child kicks my Responsible Parent's ass!
Was looking at POTP Dreadwing. Not the most popular choice, but he was my fave G1 toy and is £15 on eBay. Should be good for number 40!

I had Runabout pre-ordered before I experienced Runamuck and am unimpressed with them so both are going to Toy Fu immediately.

I will say, the Battlechargers are disappointing. The robot mode looks ace, but neither car mode tabs together properly. Shame, but they're essential goons for the Infiltration shelf and the robots do look appropriately mookish.

The cars are awkward to fit together, infact most of the recent cars have felt a bit fiddly to fit together, but the Battlechargers look great together in robot mode. Good enough that I put away the club ones and I never thought that would happen.
Transformations do seem to be getting more complicated to me.

Jazz is good. Little tricky getting the roof tabbed , but when you work it out it's neat. SS86 is two for two so far.

I think Jazz is the first one I'll have a look at. I'm very keen to compare to RTS to see what's what.

It's a hard comparison. They're doing very different things as toys. RTS is probably the better toy, but SS86 is pretty much the perfect '84 update. Actual Porsche mode, cartoon/comic model accurate robot. I wasn't expecting SS86 to hit this hard.
I suspect the feet out the back are so the designers can have plausible deniability about the alt mode, because the Porsche is more probably more accurate in shape than the '84 toy was otherwise.

I've had to admit defeat with the car mode. I can't get the back end to fit with the roof. I need to find a transform video. It's almost there but I'll be buggered if I can get the back wheels to fit in. I can't see what I'm not doing. Car mode does look excellent though.

I had a bad night and foolishly resorted to spending money I really shouldn't have what with not having an income. As such, I will not open 7 or 8 for a while. I'll save them for the next bad night.
