Starting the year with some long overdue actions. A vast swathe of the TF collection is on it's way to Toy-Fu this week. The collecting has become closer to hoarding over the last few years, with them and comics/GNs and it's time to pare things back. Some things I own and feels it's just for the sake of owning and there's no actual enjoyment to be gained.
Toys as always are donated to Toy-Fu as always, comics/GN's will go on Ebay/recycling/charity shops as I reclaim some much needed space.

Same here! I really have to clear out the same kind of stuff, with less mercy than usual. Look at TPBs and think "am I really ever going to reread this?".
At the same time there've been times when visitors have had a look over the shelves and picked books and comics out and it's sparked conversations and discoveries of shared interests that I don't think would have happened if I only had digital. So I'll be looking to strike a balance there.
I swore off resolutions years ago, but this time I've been thinking about it more.
1. Clear out some stuff! 2. Continue drawing and painting more 3. Keep on running (started again towards the end of 2020) 4. Actually listen to music again, instead of just using it as background 5. Much less time on social media like Twitter, a bit more time here where it's much nicer

The Hub: quite nice, actually.

Except when you post in a previous week thread and Phil's wrath is unleashed.
But.
Pertinent to the conversation - a lot of people seem to be shifting direction/downsizing Transformers collections this coming year. Wonder why now. I'm not going as far as getting rid of a lot of toys, but I'm certainly pulling away from generations to go more into completing sub groups from older lines. Focus on choice pieces instead of bulk buying entire waves of average figures.

I mean I should stop I havent had room for years, but I keep buying. I do feel like Im on my last go around with Generations G1 though. They havent quite done all of G1 but if those gaps get filled it will not be quickly.
So lockdown again. Yay!

I am shifting direction TF wise because: A: I have been made redundant and the changing covid situation means I could be out of work until Q3 when I thought I would be back in a job Q1 or Q2. B: I'm fed up with half the line being put behind 'blink and you miss them' Exclusives paywalls. C: I am thus more inclined to spend a much reduced budget on older TF's as they are easier to budget for and less stressful to buy. D: Now I have a better place to live, I am thinking of converting the spare room into a hobby room with a proper library section so am more inclined to expand my trades collection of comics. E: More expensive private dental care is in my near future (can't get access to NHS due to covid).

I already started a bit of a clear out. Bunch of books and dvds sold on ebay already that I'm hoping to post today. Got a load of Godzilla bandai vynils in the loft that are gathering dust when they could fetch a damn high price.
Still trying to figure out what I want my TF collection to be. In terms of Generations style figures I long ago set a rule of "no repeat figures". But while we justifiably harp on about Hasbro being fixated on G1, they have actually done an excellent job of churning out "new" guys as well, demolishing my space.
I have a feeling I'm going to be cruel to myself this year and get rid of A LOT.

I started a bit of a clear out and refocus last year, going to be doing the same again this year. I won't say I'm swearing off mainline but it's definitely time to care less for the exclusives. Half the stuff I have bought lately hasnt even been opened...
