I've known about this less than a day and already it goes up for preorder and sells out while I'm away... bastards. I was too busy to order one yesterday so I'll have to go Kapow too. What's that all about? Nothing on Pulse UK has sold out yet, but this comes and goes in 24 hours? Why this one?

UK fans are mostly the only ones who (correctly) think this is the correct Galvatron deco.
It doesn't surprise me that it sells out so fast on Pulse UK, where most american fans are being kinda whiny instead of being glad both decoes are being done.

IIRC this is the first new Galvatron to have that deco since 1986 so it has a certain draw. It's not a usual type of repaint.

I did a wee Twitter thread last night to try and see whether or not you could actually describe Selects Galvatron as being in Marvel colours or not: And the answer is... I mean, I guess, if you want, sure.

He's a hybrid. Wrong colored "pontoons" for marvel, wrong colored forearms for the toy.

I'm sorry but, looking at him front-on, those shoulder pontoons are ridiculously big.
Initially I was only banging on about it because I like saying the word 'pontoons', but now... Oh dear God ...

Having handled Phil's normal one, the pontoons look fine in-person.

I wasn't keen on SS86 Kup in pictures but when I got one for my birthday I saw that it looks absolutely fine in-person.

Galvatron now in stock at Very. I quite often get sent voucher codes for Very, with anything from £10-£30 off a set spend. I'm now gonna cross fingers one turns up soon before my other preorder ships!

I can't decide if I like it better with or without the stickers. It certainly looks cleaner without, but there's a lovely, '80s garishness to the stickers which I can't ignore... I'll probably just leave mine unstickered and wait and see what Toyhax does.

I have to admit it doesn't bother me. I feel like it might be a little bland without it.

That pointless purple headcrest, bloody idiots. Is there not a consideration in the molds in these colourings? If the crest was on the same sprue as the other purple parts, it'd need to be painted (or the colouration for the repaint to be considered really early - but even then depending on space, it may still be difficult to accomplish).

That Galvatron looks a bit pish. The RED Megs does a much better job of applying the 'reformatted' effect.
Can't wait to own it. It's a TF:TM toy. Bastards.

With a better model of Galvatron's ship, a Quintesson ship and the Junkion ship.
Plus a ton of the tiny figures for The Ark etc

So it's kinda like an accessory pack type thing - would those three ships be the same scale as the Autobot shuttle that came with Unicron? And the tiny figures - the bases on them make them look like they're designed to fit the other holes on the bridge of the Ark rather than go with the Rodimus & Galvatron 'slugs' that came with Unicron.
Galvatron looks wrong because they've missed the point - the lines should be a wireframe representation of the figure, not the edges of all the panels picked out. What would save that is if it's clear plastic so it glows with a light behind it and the grey edge lines are reflective so they shine under direct light.
But even so, Ralph is right, the RED Megs was an instant 'oh my!', this is an instant, 'oh... what?'

If it was clear plastic then it'd be difficult to resist double-dipping on this (with the first dip being on the toy colours figure). But, disappointingly (yet thankfully) it doesn't look like it is...

I still haven't decided if I want to spend that much on Toy Galvatron, and if I do, he'll be the only one I plan on getting, I think.
Shame, as tiny spaceships look really fun!

I mean given how well Pulse is doing at the moment, and that's where my pre-order is I don't know if I *will* ever spend that much on Toy Galvatron...
