Day off (mostly) today. Was due to take three days off, but one's enough. Leave year ends next week. Will be carrying three weeks of annual leave over into the new leave year. Wasn't much point taking leave this year just gone, with nowhere to go. Hopefully make better use of the extra time off this coming year.

Ringing in the ear where recently had ear infection and spent much of yesterday with a headache. May need to pop to the dreaded walk-in centre again tomorrow afternoon.

Rough weekend, rough night. Not sure I'm in the right place for online Uni meetings, but here we go. Hope it went ok champ. Yeah, I communicated mostly via thumbs up and trying to not be noticed. Think it worked. However, I did find out that one of my modules I had been sent the wrong feedback from and was now in a vastly better grade, which would have been even higher if the video I had linked to in my submission had played for the staff. Odd, cuz it played for me in the tutorial with them. Ah well. Better things ahead.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday.
Yesterday: Busy, but I think all went OK. Half an hour in the garden :-) 4 books and my Kingdom Magnus dispatched so some goodies later in the week. Face a tad odd at times and some achyness down sides of body & back - digestion pains? New chair? L had good day off. But the oven broke which is a pain - new element in the post.
Today: Woke early, achy again this morning. J recorder lesson rearranged for 8am-9am, then straight after he's off to Arc group. L teaching from 10, J off to ASD group at 5.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Buying and selling houses is THE WORST. Finally managed to shift ours, thought we had found a fixer upper to buy but the surveyor just called and well.. that's a big old nope. Now to rush viewings on other houses so that we dont lose our buyers!

Morning All!
It's Wednesday March 24th 2021. The date is significant.
Yesterday: I was struggling anyway with being out of routine thanks to J's recorder lesson moving, and physically back/sides were doing odd stuff. Then I had one of my worst falls in a long time, slipped over in the kitchen and really whacked my back. It wasn't as day ending as I feared but it certainly reduced what I was capable of physically for the rest of the day. The MASSIVE Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe deluxe edition Omnibus arrived. Lovely to FINALLY have it all in colour - I'd got the original trades but they're not complete and the Essentials are B&W and poor quality paper - but the book is far FAR too big. Epics please Marvel!
Today: .... well One Year Ago Today I returned home from London where I'd been staying for a month while builders were working on our house. Very grateful still for my brother Mark bringing me back. I wasn't well then both physically - my face had been painful & hot for a couple of weeks already, my sleep pattern was shot and I was eating very little at all - and mentally - the stress of being stuck 80 miles away from my family and a home that was in pieces - but much worse was to come over the next few weeks as the face got worse and worse and my mental health deteriorated rapidly. I had one night I didn't sleep at all, alternating hot and cold and difficulty breathing through my very blocked nose. A few days later Liz prayed for me in the garden and following Thirty minutes of sweating profusely I felt a lot better - 95% - physically. Sertaline in prescription gave me a base for rebuilding my mental health: still taking it and don't intend to stop yet. The face is ongoing Sinus problems, but nowhere near what it was even on it's worse day. The appetite came back on my birthday last year but even now I can't eat too much. My digestive system - which a year ago had had 18 months or so nasty IBS - has behaved very differently since then. We strongly suspect that I copped Covid very early on during my stay in London, escaped the main symptoms and got a decent portion of the side effects, as that many health issues at once that I'd never had before seems an awfully big coincidence but we will never know for sure especially as I'm now 6 weeks post vaccine. But if I did then given my underlying health, I got off relatively easily. I'm still a little dodgy every so often with objects entering the house, especially shopping, and probably wash my hands more than the rest of you, though much less than I did at one stage! Since March 24th last year I've left the house 9 times: one trip in the car just to go out, London and back a week later, Flu Jab, Covid Jab 1, 4 doorstep birthday cake deliveries and one fetching J from a group with Liz. I'm very grateful to everyone who's helped in that time, especially those who've ensured our shopping and drugs have kept coming in.
It's probably also getting on for a year since I started posting something every day, which I mainly did to keep my head straight about what day it was and what was happening and had happened. I'll stop and some point - a difficult thing for someone on the spectrum to do ! - but not yet as it's still helping me cope!
So actually happening today: No ARC group for J, staff training. Food order needs doing. Homegroup tonight. There's 3 outstanding parcels from BooksEtc which should come and two more containing my Kingdom Leader Ultra Magnus and Kingdom Core Megaton & Starscream (possibly my Voyager Dinobot & Inferno too) Parcel City this week and I'm not the one with the birthday next Monday!
So please pray Today goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Good stock-taking of the year there, Phil. It's been a hell of a year for you, but I pray that the worst of it is long past and it will all be an upward trajectory now head-wise.
Attended a very good 2-hour virtual mental health & well-being guided conversation thingy yesterday afternoon in work. One thing seems clear, which is that it's harder to pick up on colleagues' mental health issues when you only see them in video meetings, as opposed to being with them physically in the office all day. I've been incredibly fortunate to be one of a small group (mostly people who live alone) allowed to work in the office on well-being grounds since July. It's been the biggest thing helping to get me through the year, spending the day in a large open indoor space with friends to talk to rather than 24 hours a day at home.
Everyone has to set their own risk tolerance to Covid, within the boundaries set by the official rules, to fit their personal circumstances. I realised quite early on that to get through it mentally my personal rules would focus on amount of indoor space shared with other human beings, i.e. person-to-air-volume ratio and time spent in that space. Big, well-ventilated rooms good for avoiding infection, small rooms bad. So a high-ceilinged open plan office, supermarket, church, cinema, etc. with relatively small number of people in it, fine. Small spaces like buses, taxis, other people's homes, cramped shops and pubs, not fine. Fleeting close contact with others fine, prolonged close contact bad. It's more complicated than that of course, and nothing is ever 100% safe, but that's worked for me so far, and I'm happy to say I don't know anybody in Cardiff who has had Covid. Though it took my great-uncle from me at the age of 95 just before Christmas, in a care home, just weeks before he would have got the vaccine, so in wider family terms it has certainly taken its awful toll.
Hope everyone has a good, safe day.
Martin

I certainly know my physical and mental health has yo-yo'd all over the place in the last 12 months.
Currently having fun at the local walk-in centre waiting room dodging folk wearing masks on their chins. Ear that had infection doesn't feel right. I'd usually just go see the GP but phone appointments only at the moment. Feels like overkill being here but only way to get a Doc to put a probe in my ear!

Dr Quack said infection had cleared and tinnitus was common for 6-8 weeks after one and would settle and there was nothing to worry about. I was all set to go until he said it could be a tumour in my brain (!) which could be very serious (!) so told me to go to Boots for a hearing test so they can check and if they find something bad to get an MRI done. What the fuck.

Morning All!
It's Thursday
Yesterday: Not A Good Day. Morning was OK, quite relaxed, but struggling at lunch. Didn't get an afternoon sleep thanks to knocks at the door and the phone going so struggling by early evening. I thought a bath had taken the edge off it but the pain from both the CMT and face struck mid homegroup and I had to be encouraged to wave the white flag. Retired hurt to bed. Magnus and Voyagers and two trades arrived as did the Oven element which has been fitted already.... but there's evidence the oven isn't in a good way.
Today: In pain at kick off, mainly back, and woke an hour early. Must have had an active night as I'd managed to throw all of a double duvet on the floor from the middle of the bed! I could do with getting the hang of this particular Thursday after yesterday! J music theory 9am. Food Delivery due - hopefully with what we've ordered but since the changes we made midday had vanished by early evening we're not confident. I'm teching for Alpha tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I'm physically and mentally better tonight than yesterday evening. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY!
Yesterday: Tiring, and quite painful at times. But I got through the day and managed to do all I needed to which will count as a WIN after how I was Wednesday night. Thanks to all who prayed. The last book from Book Etc and the last of my Kingdom w2 showed up so the only things in transit are my Netflix w3 Deluxe SOMEWHERE between Robotkingdom in Hong Kong and the UK.
Today: A Quiet Day - Hurrah! Chip shop lunch. Will today be the day the information floodgates open on the Hachette website?
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I get some rest. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Woke up this morning, remembered the clocks go forward tonight, decided to save myself a job later and do my upstairs clocks early, then logged onto Zoom at 9.30 for a 10.30 Zoom talk and wondered where everyone was.

Really nasty fall just after lunch: right ankle, which has been slightly dodgy all day, gave way as I was walking towards the bedroom door. Body twisted as I went down, both arms went out and I caught them on the door frame. Back hit floor and heel went into backside. I was in pain at the time but it's got worse since I've been up especially in my back. Difficulty concentrating and talking.
Might not be much good tonight
