Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise the Lord! Also Welcome to British Summer Time! Did you put your clocks forward?
Yesterday: Got a lie in, yay! Managed some room sorting out but had massive nasty fall after lunch which made the rest of the day a struggle. Nice chat with Mum, but was struggling for my words and with the pain.
Today: Church this morning, Prayer Meeting Tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Spent too much of yesterday indoors, only venturing out for Sainsbury's and the chippie. Aim to do better today. Socially distanced Palm Sunday Mass, then a bit of a nature walk through local parks if it stays dry.
At least one local coffee shop is now taking re-useable cups again, which reduces the environmental impact of my giving them business during the pandemic - very happy about that.

Whew. I think I've earned a lazy afternoon now. Mile-and-a-half walk to church, similar distance again from church to lake, then approx. 3 miles round the lake and back home again.
My re-useable coffee cup (the one with the GWR route map design, bought from the tourist tat shop between Swindon rail museum and retail outlet, Thorntons RIP) must be wondering what's hit it. A year neglected in a cupboard, and now double use in a single outing, first at Coffee #1 on the way to church, then at the pop-up coffee stall of an enterprising young chap in the park. He wasn't getting any business when I approached him, but people who had walked past him turned around and came back to line up behind me when they noticed what I was doing. He should do well I think, given the number of people walking around the park in pairs, evidently meeting up for the first time in a long while now the rules have been relaxed. I overtook a lot of such pairs and caught a lot of snippets of conversation. Much unburdening of thoughts and issues going on. Zoom's good, but evidently no substitute for real life for certain conversations.

I was all set to go until he said it could be a tumour in my brain (!) which could be very serious (!) They said it was unlikely though, right? RIGHT?!?! Had the hearing check. Just the usual hearing loss of someone my age, nothing to worry about or to warrant having to go back for a full hearing test. Told tinnitis is normal for a couple of months after ear infection and that hearing it in my head is a better sign than if it was in my ears. No mention of a brain tumour. Follow-up with my regular GP next Thursday. Damn near shat myself while waiting for the hearing check. Then I went to WH Smiths for first time since last August and bought myself a hopefully entertainingly bad Star Wars book. -Ralph

Tinnitus is annoying. I've had that since I was a teenager. Sometimes it gets ferociously bad but living with the hissing, whistling and tones makes trying to find true quiet very hard.
