Morning All!
It's Monday - 2021 Week 14!
Yesterday: Bit of a struggle. Tech things kept going wrong in the morning, internet fell over mid prayer meeting for the second week on the trot, all three powerpoints for the service played up and my phone died thanks to me knocking my water into overnight. It spent most of the day on the window in the sunlight and is working now! Quite achy and a bit of a struggle physically all day. Finished Picard with Liz.
Today: NOTHING planned - yay!
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Saw a house in Tiverton over the weekend. Competition is fierce and I don’t think we will get this one but you never know, will find out tomorrow how many people were up against and just have to hope my pockets are deeper.

Looking forward to politely and peacefully protesting the domestic covid passports lying Boris said would never happen.

Government continues to focus on ever tighter controls in public places because it's too difficult to enforce rules in the places where most transmission is occurring, namely in people's homes and residences. The passports will be counter-productive if they drive people away from businesses and towards having unregulated house parties.

Twenty years of working with people in various minorities informs my view. It will disenfranchise the most vulnerable in society, some of which may be pushed away from getting a vaccine because of measures such as this. It's especially galling given the constant refusal to financially support people who need to self-isolate, who are often in minorities and/or the poorest in society. I strongly oppose the use of domestic passports on ethical grounds. I want everyone to get vaccinated. I want everyone to *choose* to be vaccinated and then open things up when it is safe to do so. This is not the way to do it.
I thought this would happen when the proposed date for lifting all restrictions was announced as 5 weeks before the proposed date for all adults being offered their first dose of covid vaccination and thought: 'Hang on a minute...'
I won't frequent any business that uses covid passports.

Looks like it will be for mass events - concerts, sports events, and I'd wager posisbly cinemas and conventions and the like. Or at least that's what they are claiming at the moment.
I can't see retail being in a position to enforce this or indeed willing to.

After taking the wife and kids out for a takeaway breakfast at a new vegan cafe, the weekend has pretty much consisted of ironing while watching a high-quality (picture/sound, not voice acting) copy of the Masterforce dubs.
Also been thinking about the fact that it’s almost 25 years to the day that I went to my first TMUK meeting in Beckenham!

Having it for cinemas sounds odd to those of us who always used to go at off-peak times which delivered social distancing long before there was a health reason for it. Vaccine passport when there are half a dozen people in the auditorium, really? You can bet it won't be required for religious worship though. Far too politically contentious. Martin

Yep, they'd shite out of that fight, as I have no doubt that the various religious organisations would have them in court at a rapid speed.

So if I return to my pre-Covid Sunday routine of 9.30 Mass followed by a pre-lunch cinema trip, it could be unregulated religious gathering, including Holy Communion, handshake of peace and chatting to people I know, followed by requiring a proof of vaccination to sit in a nearly empty cinema auditorium. Ho hum.

They haven't actually said cinemas in anything yet, but I can see them either rolling that out, or one of the chains doing it, in some misguided attempt to make the public feel better about going.

I can't speak for the rest of the UK, but in Englandland we've had 13 months of Boris consistently saying he won't do X and then doing it later on. It's literally become impossible to believe a word that comes out of his mouth. -Ralph

Morning All!
It's Tuesday - Happy New Tax Year!
Yesterday: Pretty decent day, nice and quiet. Weekdays have been quite busy for a while so it's nice to have a run of days with not too much in them.
Today: another day with a clear calendar! Netflix w3 Deluxe due. Woken up with cramp in left leg so balance is an issue!
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Not in Englandland as yet. Boris has fucked it here so it will be May or later for the under 50's (or even later according to a Sage report today).

Depends on the efficiency of the vaccination centre you're assigned to I think, regardless of the 'no bookings for under 50s in April'. For example, 35% of the vaccinations given in Oxford so far are to under 50s, that has to be some way beyond the number of prioritised people.
I had my first jab a few weeks ago but others I know under 50 are still being called. It might be because my town is currently top of the 'percentage of population vaccinated' table for the whole of the south east. They seem to be getting through us pretty quickly.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday!
Yesterday: Nice and quiet, but body was a bit odd at times. Woke with cramp in one knee, then hip same side played up. Sinuses a little fun too but a sneezing fit, that came from nowhere, seemed to dislodge a whole load of gunk and I felt a lot better in the evening. Netflix w3 deluxe arrived.
Today: Woke early from very vivid odd dream. Food order need doing. L has meeting. Homegroup tonight, hope to be well enough to do that.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

I've given up all hope of being vaccinated before idiot Boris lifts all the restrictions. As soon as I saw that Sage report I knew there was no chance. In an absolute state of terror most days.

Morning All!
It's Thursday!
Yesterday: Slightly rough physically and tiring. Day started with a Hasbro product leak, via Amazon Australia and then Hasbro's product reveal at 6pm caught me by surprise, was still busy uploading & posting images when Homegroup started. Got a bit shaky during homegroup.
Today: Food delivery due. Pulse con preview thing tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray Liz's back improves. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Oh no! That sounded like it was hopeful. It did, our offer was second place.. not much consolation alas. Considering our runner up house so still might get somewhere.
