I thought it looked amazing, and then I saw it waddle along in robot mode and the illusion was broken. I know that's technical limitations, but it's not what I expect a powerful warrior king dinosaur to walk like!

That's so much more impressive than the Optimus, although it's essentially doing the same thing.

Yeah, I'm definitely more impressed with it in a way that I wasn't with the Optimus Prime. I think partially it's because Prime's alt-mode is a truck, and so essentially he turns into a radio-controlled car, and that's not something that's new. Also trucks and cars are just shapes on wheels. Grimlock's alt-mode is another multi-limbed, animated form, which immediately looks more interesting. In my mind. And also it's a robot dinosaur, and robot dinosaurs are ALWAYS cooler than cars.
Also this one looks more practical, in that Grimlock's alt-mode doesn't require quite so much space to move around in. I'd never be able to drive Robosen Prime around my tiny lounge. Especially with all of the Scraplet's stuff lying around.
Not that I'm going to be picking up Grimlock either, that is. Not in this economy.

This is a fascinating thing, a very impressive piece of consumer robotics engineering. I think, on balance, that my reaction to it is the same as the Prime. It is nice that it exists, but I can see no actual reason I would want to own one. It is nice, just not for me at all.

Now that is an impressive transformation. There's something hypnotic about it.

And the Scraplet was just as captivated by it on the telly as he was at TFNation (he spent *hours* stood at the Robosen table just watching those things pose and move - I was tempted to use it as an ad-hoc creche for most of the weekend)...

Mrs Ralph got very excited about it at TF Nation and demanded we get one. Then I told her both the price and the lack of payment plans...

I know that'll be a tank but I'm just imagining an auto-changing gun mode. Ha!

It will be thousands of pounds like the other Robosen 'Look at the size of my wang' nonsense.

They've been teasing this for so long now that I've become disinterested. Not that I was particularly interested to begin with, mind you...
