No. Unless it's Sky Lynx. In fact I'd go as far as saying that ALL Transformers should probably have his name on them.
But it's worse when they have the fourth wall breaking Transformers (TM) logo on them.

How about Junkions watching the Transformers cartoon and using Transformers cartoon references and quotes when they meet the Autobots in the Transformers cartoon?

When I was about 3 years old my mum put labels saying "Door", "Window", "Wall" etc. on those things so that I would learn to recognise those words.
To continue doing so as your age passes into double figures would be... worrying.
I'm voting no.

While I understand the thread/poll isn't meant to be serious, but I generally hate it... ...however, there is something unintentionally hilarious whenever Megatron has Megatron written across his chest.
It's like Spock wearing that old goofy Spock helmet.

Definitely not.
The only thing I like written on Transformers are highly amusing political slogans written in Cybertronian.

Definitely not. The only thing I like written on Transformers are highly amusing political slogans written in Cybertronian. Are you aware that Thunderclash has TRANSFORMERS on his trailer? You invite destruction from Andu. -Ralph

The Ghostbusters had their names written on their uniforms. I suspect a military uniform has the wearers name on it. Transformers are always in uniform. So they are allowed to display their name.

I see lots of red trucks that aren't Optimus Prime.
(Or are they?)

Yes but he only turns into one type of red truck, usually one in certain parts of one country. He is easy to find.

But he isn't the usual red truck in Laser mode. He has gone to the trouble of changing that and then mucks it up by not only having his name on his trailer but a fecking picture of himself as well, just in case the enemy can't read.
One can only assume he WANTED to die again here, because he discovered Kenner's upcoming monkey plans for him.

As my esteemed colleague Mr Andu points out, all disguises are negated by clearly visible faction logos anyway.

I'm abstaining from this one because though I find it generally a bit daft, I don't mind it if it fits stylistically with the range/character/toy. What I object to more is if the toy has a sound chip that makes the toy announce itself.
I like it if there's some sort of hidden reference, like a JAAM licence plate.

Beast Wars made use of them. The original Spychangers had a variant of the concept in the paint of their windshields, or something.
But actual rubsigns wouldn't be seen again until Reveal the Shield, aside from G1 reissues.

A small discreet faction symbol on a car (go away Spy changer Prowl) isnt the same as having your name and photo emblazoned on a massive trailer.
Decepticon jets would have to get pretty close up to an Autobot car to notice a grumpy Autobot badge. Yeah, they could zoom in, using high tech space robot sensors, but they'd be doing that for a long time on a lot of vehicles in heavy traffic. And by the time they'd have found Sideswipe's identity, he'd have already transformed and shot the suspicious jet that kept hovering above cars scanning them in the first place.
