Contents: Cover: Back Cover: Comic (A) Desolation - part 2a. (Pencils all complete by Ben Pirrie - just waiting on me to finish the colours/letters) Victory Guide (part 2) (in progress) Fanzine Flashback (finished) Jaugar's Junk Mail Translation Article - Lawrence Evans has uncovered some rare material and produced a fantastic translation into English! Profile: Nightracer Profile: Soundblaster Profile: Overlord Profile: Liokaiser Comic (B) Desolation - part 2b (I've done 1/3 of this so far). Front Cover: Fanzine Flashback: If anyone would be interested in helping out with art/colours for either the comic or the profiles, I would be most grateful. Also any letters for the letters page would be welcome. I'm also looking out for a cover artist for issue 3 (as I like to put a preview of this on the next issue page).

A work in progress -part of the second comic in issue 2: My current to-do list for finishing issue 2 is: 1. Colour & letter 6 pages of comic. 2. Complete 4 profiles including art. 3. Finish fanzine article text. 4. Format a translation article written by Lawrence Evans. 5. Letters page (if anyone who bought a copy of issue 1 would like to submit a letter for this I would be VERY grateful). 6. Source a cover for issue 3 preview (again, if anyone would like to contribute please let me know). I'm generally keeping updates over on the fanzine's twitter page: Desolation on Twitter

I've hopefully fixed the greyed-out/washed-out colours on two of those images (but not yet uploaded them as they're on my laptop).
I've just got the lettering to do on the main comic strip now, plus the art for the character profiles and the zine is finished. I'm aiming for a September release - so 2 years since the first issue was printed isn't too bad considering I started issue 1 back in 1999.
The only other thing I really need is some letters written for the letters page - so I would be really grateful for anything from people who enjoyed the first issue.

Almost finished the letters, so here's another preview: You can also follow updates and more art over on the Fanzine's Instagram page: @tfdesolation

So the fanzine is now finished other than the letters page! If you read and enjoyed issue 1, please consider writing a letter to be published in issue 2. Letters should be addressed to "Jaugar" and will be responded to in the style of the old Marvel UK letters pages and sent to me via PM.
I'm hoping for the zine to go to print in November (I can't afford the upfront costs until then) - same full colour, soft-touch lamination cover as issue 1. Details on prices (which will have risen) will be out soon.

Update: the only thing holding the zine up is the letters page - so *desperate plea* please can anyone who read issue 1 send in a letter via PM on here or via the fanzine's instagram page @tfdesolation
I've also done some research on the pricing and I was wondering how people would feel about:
UK: £5 inc postage Europe/Ireland: £8 inc postage USA/Rest of the World: £10 inc postage.
28 full-colour pages with soft-touch laminate cover (if you had issue 1 - you'll know the quality). I'm running it on an entirely 100% non-profit basis so each issue would be slightly subsidised by a few pence here and there.
I might also do a limited reprint of issue 1 for anyone who didn't have chance to get one before I sold out. Hoping for a December 2023 release.

Price sounds fine.
I'd be up for a copy of both issues.

Everything has gone to the printers and should be back with me later this week! Just need to bag and board the fanzines once they arrive and then get them sent out. I also added an additional 4 pages of content to issue 2. Here are some more low-resolution previews (these are taken from the pre-print version so there are some tiny errors which have since been corrected):

I got an 'order shipped' e-mail on 9 Dec., but got no post at all last week, and it turned up along with all my other back post in the last two days, while I was away in Torquay.
Looking forward to reading over Christmas.
