Hmm.
I'm not sure about this. I look at that base and it's ER Prime's trailer all over again. It just looks like a cheap knock off of the original rather than something that compliments it. Like the modulators. There's no fun in those, they're nothing like the original Micromaster bases.
I might get the Scourge repaint if the colours are good, but this seems superfluous if you have the original. The robot looks like ER Prime with shoulder pads too. The TR one is much more distinctive.
I just see disappointment.

AND he's got a removable Matrix, too. Which we've not seen, but isn't really exciting any more. Still, good to see that they've not forgotten about his Pizza Pan of Doom! Hmm. But yeah, for me, I'm not entirely sure it's worth it. I'll get it anyway, of course. Because it's an Optimus Prime, so I have to. But still. |

Legacy Laser Prime does indeed look inferior, but I still pre-ordered one instantly.

Nowhere for figures to stand! It's not that sort of base though, it's a cover wall, so the bots stand behind it firing the weapons that all point towards the enemy. Pew pew pew kablllloey crashhhhckkk poeuusckhhh boooom!!! |

Yeah, those are usually sleeper cabs, with a bed in them for the driver. My dad was on a non-stop run from Dallas to Phoenix for a few years, with another driver. One would drive, while the other slept.
The forearms make for an... adequate one. They're too small, but not so much that it isn't a stretch of the imagination.
And I can't figure out what else those red boxes could be, except the forearms. But I also can't quite figure out how they'd get there, either!
I'd think collapsing them down and stuffing them up into the hood/shoulder section would have been a simpler engineering feat.

The head is really good but the figure itself looks disproportioned. I'm sticking with the TR one for Prime but will get the Scourge so Legends 2017 Black Convoy has a trailer to stand with.
Still much of a mind that these new figures are seriously inferior to the originals so they aren't exciting me.
