You also need to be six months post second jab, something that's been kept quietish till now. r Which would be January for me but a moot point as nhs says I can't have one. -Ralph

Finally agreed to do it after I had to pay for it twice.
Raging but best to get it.

Is all this about the flu jab? Why is age a problem with that? That doesn't make sense. What are they on about?

Mostly Flu Jab. The age bit relates to Covid Boosters

Or with underlying health issues. Liz (Asthma) and I both get it

It's over 50 for a freebie flu jab, but that shouldn't stop anyone getting one. Is it that Boots are overbooked so they're restricting flu jabs to some groups but not others?

My age was a problem for getting the flu jab at all hence multiple runarounds this morning about it. I had paid for it on 10/10 then had to pay for it again before I could get it. So my flu jab has cost £30. I used to get flu jabs free on the nhs every year due to health issues but the goalposts have moved. -Ralph

Boots still fucking me about. They now claim I never went to my appointment. Detailed complaint submitted. I expect it will be ignored.
If you need a private flu jab, DO NOT use Boots. Try a different pharmacy.
Knocked sideways by side effects since yesterday tea-time and have mostly been in bed sleeping. I am not complaining about that though. I've had flu twice. Side effects from vaccine for a few days are nothing compared to that.

Note to self: if experiencing side effects from flu vaccine do not go for a 5-mile run less than 24 hours later.
Felt like I had concrete boots on. Not even the Rocky IV soundtrack on repeat helped.
Back to bed!
