Morning All!
It's New Year Bank Holiday Monday - 2022 Week 1
Yesterday: Started the day several hours of sleep down but made it to church and managed to contribute. Sleep in afternoon disturbed my neighbours drilling. Quiet evening with Day of the Daleks and a Murder on the TV.
Off to sleep at 2am is better than 3, but more midnight (or even earlier!) would be better!
Today: No usual Monday activities, hopefully get some room tidying done.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I get off to sleep earlier tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

You may now call me...LORD BURNS.

Martin's suffering from the January back-to-work blues. Which is odd, as I went into the office and did some work between Christmas and New Year, and it was lovely. Nobody around, received an average of one e-mail per day rather than the usual 30 or so, got loads done.
But this week - bleah.
Took an hour off at lunchtime to go round the National Museum and art gallery, which cheered me up. Knocking off early tomorrow to see a film. Hopefully be in a better mood next week.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY
Yesterday: Not too bad a day, flew by. Couple of nasty falls in the evening involving the same foot: one twisted it while the second put me out full length on the floor. Finally activated our Disn ey Plus subscription, a gift at Christmas, and watched the first three episides of the Mandalorian.
Little bit of trouble getting off last night again :-(
Today: Not sure. L envigilating this afternoon, J out tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's Saturday!
Yesterday: Got all I needed done .... and then ran out of go. Rest of day was a bit of a struggle. Was quite coldy round my nose and throat, with accompanying flu like ache from CMT and a bit of pain in the face. That'll need an LFT at some point today before church tomorrow.
Today: Nine O'clock lie in, Thank You Lord! Hopefully a quiet day, zoom Mum, TMUK Zoom tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Bit of a struggle today: body not cooperating thanks to not enough sleep + weather. Fall in church. And head hasn't felt great, nagging feelings that I've got something really wrong and/or forgotten something really important.

Chances are, that means you have forgotten something (which you will remember soon), but in all likelihood it wasn't very important in the grand scheme.

I got my neighbour's name wrong - first time I'd spoken to him - on Friday and that has thrown my head in an odd way. But I can't help but feel I've said or done something really silly

Ah. That answers that question.
I do that all the time, Phil. Generally don't get through a day without calling a child by the wrong name, despite the fact I know full well what they're called. I find I forget odd things too. In the summer, I had to turn the car headlights on in a hurry when going into a tunnel and despite having done that for years I couldn't remember how to at all. Eventually when we stopped I sat and fiddled with every dial in the car until the headlights came on, which came as a surprise as I was convinced the control was somewhere else. It was like learning to do it for the first time. I've always marvelled at how good your memory is, my memory has been shot to bits for years.
