The Robots and Chairs thread got me thinking, especially when someone mentioned doors and Transformers with wings on their backs.
What of arm cannons? Like Megatron's?
Yesterday I spent some time walking around with a rolled up rug gaffer taped to my forearm.
It really got in the way. Especially when going to toilet, and making a sandwich. There was a calamity when I took in a parcel from the postman; I rugged him in the face. I'm not sure how he'll explain carpet burn to his face...
Jolly hard to function with appendages. How do Cybertronians do it?
Someone needs to put wings on their back and go to the Supermarket.

And when they fire a gun that is attached or part of them, is it a bit like a fart?

You do know Megatron can take the cannon off, yeah?

Well yeah, but, like, he's rarely seen out 'n' about without it. I rather imagine he feels rather naked without it.
And if he's seen by the Deceptions to be cooking sausages without it, Starscream'd be out in his face about it, using it as another excuse to usurp him.

So who's going to put wings on and go to the Supermarket?
I think Pinwig should do it.

We need someone to do massive shoulder pads too!
And a big trigger cod piece.
Who do we all think is the Transformer with the most awkward robot mode to do everyday things with? A lot of Beast Wars characters had an insane amount of animal hanging off them.

A lot of those Beast Machine vehicons seem pretty unwieldy.

Any of the original car robots I'd think, cos all their legs were stuck together. Prowl and co had wheels touching the floor, so they could use those - as long as the supermarket has a wheelchair ramp etc. (which, of course, they should). I've said it before, but until I saw Warpath in the comics/cartoon with separated feet, I always envisaged him just rolling around Dalek style on his treads. Back to the original question - it would be nice and quick to cook sausages with an arm cannon if you like them well done.

Who do we all think is the Transformer with the most awkward robot mode to do everyday things with? Unicron. Have you seen him trying to do the washing up, or push a trolley around a supermarket, or use a cashpoint? It always ends in tears. Totally impractical robot mode for everyday tasks. Martin

Martin Yeah - Unicron is the ultimate evil - so you can bet he leaves his washing up in the space sink for someone else to do. Also, wouldn't he just suck up what he needs from the supermarket, from space? Who knows - that may be all he was trying to do all these years, but he wasn't as precise as he'd like to be. Bet he get's home and thinks - I don't remember putting this (now extinct) civilization in my basket...

Going back to the question, Brawn always springs to mind. So strong, theoretically, but with such teeny-tiny arms he can't reach down to pick anything up, or reach forward far enough to punch an enemy.

On that note, Grimlock in Dino mode - yet that's the mode he wore his chef's kit in the cartoon.

Blot, Sinnertwin and Rippersnapper all have incredibly stupid little robot mode arms too. In fact, I'm sure their hands are bigger than their actual arms. Blot can't even reach past his body.
Scorponok was never able to write very neatly (before he became a Headmaster of course)
Original Optimus had to plug his own hands into his arms when he transformed - without any hands to do it with in the first place.
Huffer, of course is perfection - as he never needs an umbrella.

But like all kids wearing hoodies, he has naff-all peripheral vision.
Bet he wears headphones too, to block out the sounds around him.
And then makes out it's your fault when he bumps into you.

He can hold a grudge.
Also, his shiny claws are obviously magnetic. Not magic like Windcharger's, but enough to pick up paperclips and important metal things.
