Chess is a well established cure for Covid. #FakeNews Spreading disinformation about Covid used to carry penalties from Proboards! (Hope your symptoms remain fairly mild Big Phil.) Ta. As I said above these are VERY similar to what I was like in 2020 so I'm all but certain it's a second dose now PLUS I've got 3 jags in me so I know that statistically I'm very likely to be OK.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY
Yesterday: Covid Day 1. I've had worse days from the CMT when it's been raining. There's a cough, but it comes and goes. Throat is sore, very gunky from nose and sinuses. Face is the most painful it's been in nearly two years. Pain down the sides of my neck, sides of my body and under ribs. More wobbly than usual. Woke early, VERY tired in evening. Pressing lots of buttons about being ill in 2020 but the similarity in symptoms all but confirms it was covid then too which is something of a relief being more sure. In an odd way I think this might not be a bad thing: my head has had to take a look at my obsession with hand washing again and has gone "why?" you've already got the **** thing! And knowing I've got it, and being sure I've had it means there might be some confidence to be gained in order to go on trains again.
Managed to do lots of little bits and pieces during the day but I think Friday will need to be quieter with more rest and more to drink.
Liz's symptoms have tended more towards fluy, she was shivering in night. J shows no sign of it! Clear LFT this morning so he went to college and we'll test him again before church on Sunday to see if he can go.
Pray today goes OK, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray the face is more comfortable and we stay protected from the virus - though now we're looking to be protected from it's nastier effects rather than getting it!
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

That's one of the weird things about this virus, we do all the hand washing and mask wearing and social distancing in public, yet you can quite happily co-exist in the same house with someone and not transfer it. I didn't get it from Mrs P last year when she had it, and she hasn't caught it from me this time.

Nope. Not last night anyway.

:-(
I'm not even going to bother testing till the tail end of next week. Sunday is out the question so next Weekend is the earliest I can aim for
Annoyingly we were expecting a visitation today from Young Nick and we only tested me Weds just in case I was so we could warn him off. Both thought it was Hayfever!

I know so many people that have caught covid in the current wave that my head has caved in. I was starting to get out and about more but now I'm frightened to leave the house again. Last night would have been my first visit to a theatre since before covid and I had been really looking forward to it and had the tickets booked but I just couldn't do it.

Keep faith in your triple jabber-dabba-do.
You are ROBUST.
INVINCIBLE.
YOU ARE THE DOCTOR.

Truth be told, the side effects from the third jab were worse than actual covid for me. We are beating the bastard.

And I've had far worse times from the weather with the CMT.
The vaccine IS working. It's preventing many people from getting it and greatly reducing the symptoms in those that do. If you've had your jabs, and both of you have, then you should be reasonably safe. Plus Mrs Burns will have an extra dose of immunity from her encounter with the virus of Christmas 2020 which she made it through OK before jab 1.

Yes, but a pressing issue it that I am shortly entering the last two months of my degree after six years of effort. The last pieces of assessed work are worth 48% of the mark for the final module and I can't get extensions on them as they form the examinable component. I quite literally don't have time to be ill, even for a week.

Morning All!
It's Saturday!
Yesterday: Covid Day 2. For most of the day I felt better than Thursday but dipped around teatime.... which was the point I discovered I'd forgotten my drugs at lunch! Ooops! Things picked up again after that. Coughing less but sides of body hurt when I do. Cheeks still top of the problem pile with lots of pain.
Today: Woke early again, fourth or fifth day on the trot. Not as bad as I was 2020 but a distinct pattern. Achy this morning and have heard the little whisper in my head which I recognise as a sign that might be wobbling a bit. Zooming Mum, TMUK Zoom, prep for service on Sunday.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Don't forget the clocks go forward tonight, folks.
Have a good Saturday!

Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise the Lord!
Yesterday: Covid Day 3. Day went by OK. Pushed myself a bit too much in the morning and did couple of Liz computer jobs I'd been avoiding which turned stressful. Zoom call was interesting: 6 of us had Covid and one more had an ill family member.
Today: Church. We'll be at home obviously: J was hoping to go in but he tests positive this morning, though we had our suspicions that was the case last night.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.
