It’s a common failing in film and TV that they fail to convey the passage of time, how many days or weeks a journey takes, or a siege lasts, or a ring of power takes to forge. Books tend to convey it better.

Finale watched. In it for the long haul, as long as they keep making it.

I am planning to watch this, but I have been slipstreamed along by another couple of shows and haven't had the time to squeeze it in. I'll probably give it a weekly/twice-weekly slot in my timetable starting the end of next week when I next do a "rotation" on my viewing.

I was the person who enjoyed season one but having finished season two... That was grim

having finished season two... That was grim Grim, but very well done. Anyway, I watched the film 'Joker' earlier in the day for the first (and possibly last) time. The 'Rings of Power' finale was light relief by comparison. Martin

I was the person who enjoyed season one but having finished season two... That was grim Grim in tone or grim in quality? I was wondering if I should try again based on Martin and John's comments.
