I don't mind that the wheels are red, if anything happy to see them do something different, but it does bring out one of the problems I have with that mould - the wheels look cheap as hell. They don't match and they look half-finished, and it almost gets away with it when they're black. But red draws the eye and makes them hard to ignore.

That's exactly it. I think that red wheels would look cool, but as it is there's something about these ones that just makes them look really cheap. Don't know if it's the type of plastic used, or the fact it's the same colour as other parts of the toy, but it looks cheap. I look forward to it being revealed on a live stream. Yeah, there's been a fair few leaks recently - the next couple of streams are going to be even more surprise-free than normal. |

I can see Lio Convoy Leo Prime being popular on the basis that it's a lion with an Optimus head, particularly given the Rise of the Beasts connection. That said, I'm tempted to cancel my Leo Prime pre-order. The complex transformation and BW2 accurate kibble is a little off-putting. |

It's a solid looking figure. No doubt about it.
But I don't think it gives much more than the original.
(I did watch the video without sound as I was doing something else at the time and it's usually just waffle anyway.)

Prowl certainly looks "okay". As compromises between the very two different design styles go it certainly is one. I don't hate it, but I don't know if I like it, either. We'll see. One thing that is certain though is that having seen it I'm wishing that this was the base for Flamewar now, and not that awful Arcee mold...

Really surprised by the size of Lio Convoy, and watching Peaugh's review, gotta say, it's grown on me.
Funny they include RM in the pic, but not MP though.

Got Hotshot yesterday.
I don't think it'll become anyone who isn't David Willis's favorite toy because it has some weird stuff going on with it, but it is a significant improvement over U.2 Hotshot.
And like most of Hasbro's more recent fair, it looks a lot better in hand than in photos.

Am I the only one who would rather have just updates of the inner robots if they're not going to do Pretenders properly? I certainly hope that the Autobot ones go that route when they get to them.

Tarn's got the dual cannons, which are a bit of a feature of Bludgeon designs now, and has the chest plate end up on the front of the tank, also a feature. Besides I think Skullgrin has an alternate reuse for Ralph to buy..... |
