That would include a large proportion of my current G1 toys, some of which I've rebought multiple times, several BW and a large number of Unicron Trilogy. Easily a few hundred

Outside of G1, I don't think I've ever moved something on and then reacquired it.

It is the eternal collector's lament. Many toys were moved on at various times due to Real Life serious issues or were lost by accident. Storage space in various abodes has also been an issue.

Tastes can also wax and wane over time.

So I do sometimes buy something again that I used to have.

It never ends.

For the last few years my collecting was strongly driven by FOMO and I'd only been buying new stuff, but it started to get a bit joyless so I've been revisiting old lines and reacquiring toys I'd sold (sometimes even regretting it at the time). Reacquainting myself with Superlink Landmine and Blast Arm this past week has been a lovely experience.

Oh, I didn't mean anything negative by it. I've been reacquiring CD's that I've had to sell for one reason or another down the years. I think I'm just surprised that I haven't done it so often with toys.

Ooh, nice. These were, appropriately, my first Beast Wars. I well remember being home for Christmas during my first year at university, having recently discovered the internet and subsequently the existence of Beast Wars in America, and finding them in Woolworths.

Strangely, very few Beast Wars toys are my cup of tea. I wanted these for historical interest. They are nifty for what they are, though Primal has saggy shoulders caused by Time.

Megs really suits being an alligator!

I can't get enough of the more recent BW toys though (the new moulds), even though they lack the play features of the original line. I am unable to explain this!

PHIL! Is there a checklist for the new BW toys? I think they started coming out in Kingdom?

BM Primal is one I felt especially stupid about. I think I was giving in to received wisdom that he's a Bad Toy when thinning out my collection but I always liked him and should have been a bit firmer in my convictions. Hopefully older and wiser now. Certainly older.

I'm actually trying to slow down now. I'm spending too much. The issue is toys preordered months ago through Diamond - it's just too easy for me to do! I actually have more sitting in my shop waiting for me that I don't include until I actually purchase them myself - it's easier for accounting purposes to put my own goods through the till. There are about twenty waiting for me to buy them off myself!

The other issue is that I tend to acquire Transformers at a faster rate than I open them!
